Hi everybody,
If I look at Zen true count indices here:
I noticed that this chart says to Double Down A,2 and A,3 versus a dealer's 4 upcard. Basic Strategy tells to hit instead of DD. Anybody could please advise me the best choice to make in this particular situation?
Thank you very much!

I use AOII & my indice for A,2 dbl against 4 is +5. My indice for A,3 dbl against 4 is +2. These are two different counting systems but the playing efficiency of AOII is only slightly higher than Zen so I would think the indices would be about the same or close. Anyways, I would wait to dbl in either of these situations until you have a somewhat positive count.

Note: In a single-deck game you would double A,2 & A,3 against a 4 as general basic strategy. I believe that is the only game in which you would do so.

Hit. These charts are for an obscure short-cut method the author concocted, and do not necessarily reflect optimal decisions. You shouldn't double A,2 v. 4 until somewhere around +5.
