Most recently, I went to a mid-size casino. Never posted a win because my luck was horrible. I occasionally would go to a 1-40 spread for brief periods. But for the most part, my spread was about 1-4. On a shoe. I put in less than 20 hours. It seems extremely odd to me that this larger casino had such a low tolerance level. It was literally the worst BJ game I have ever played and coupled with my losing, I figured I'd be welcome there a long time. Is all this just coincidence? Or am I in the network?
Quote: HunterhillMost likely you are. It is common for casino's that are close to each other to share info. Most tribal casinos use OSN.
For being trespassed?
Quote: SonuvabishI googled OSN and my name. I am in there from the trespass. So now what?
Now, you begin 'The Dance'. Unrated play. Short sessions.

They have your pic and have sent it
around. Casinos are real chummy now,
they look out for each other.
After the first incident, they faxed your photo right away. Same as a Vegas casino would. Has nothing to do with tribal animosities or size of a casino, they all fax.Quote: EvenBobThey have your pic and have sent it around.

The world has been getting smaller every
day for the last 100 years. It's almost
microscopic now. They all know what you've
done minutes after you do it. And it will
only get smaller and smaller..

i've been backed off before, never had any problems at other places. i guess im asking...does osn change anything? my style is already obvious...are u saying osn didn't change anything? it's that I got trespassed? I have not had trouble at state places. I've been getting heat as of late, but none immediately following; i assumed it was due to my increased familiarity with the staff since I had fewer places to play.

Maybe the ploppies complained you hated them and were being mean to them and the casino's are catering to the more affluent less knowledgeable players?
If you saw a hit on google with your name and OSN, then clearly you're in OSN. As KewlJ said, time to play unrated and try to fly under the radar. Honestly, I'd like to see a picture of that google result, with your last name blurred or something, but see it none the less. If the page exists I could more than likely find a back way in to it.

If? I already found my way in...there's a pic of me and a short description that I'm an AP and the color and make of my car. I'm not posting any of that on here. Ploppies didn't complain. I played heads up most of the time. The ploppies I played with that day were very tolerable. The PB was getting nervous and it was a monster win for that store.
Post a screenshot with any personal info removed, including things like the make/model of your car.
Quote: sc15I'm going to call bullshit on you getting a google hit on your name and "OSN" without any kind of proof.

Then ur an {insult deleted}. I just posted instructions on how to obtain this information because someone asked. First, I don't know how to post a screenshot. Second, there's nothing in it that isn't personal information. Third, I care what you think why?

If you google oregon surveillance network it comes back with this:
Oregonsurveillancenetwork.com
oregonsurveillancenetwork.com/
A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more.
If their main page isn't available to google there's no way I'm believing that they're letting google index actual player info.

Like I said b4, I do not know if this is an error or if it is supposed to be public. In addition, this is not the OSN website. This is some sort of news feed that is getting info from OSN. Someone already got a hit on it after reading this thread genius. You also google your name, btw. I started this thread because I wanted to know if people thought I was in OSN...then I updated it after I found out I was. You're on here telling me I'm lying. It's fu#@#@ stupid.

Eh, from a technical standpoint sc15 has a couple very good points.

Hmm, it must be another affiliate site? I find it extremely hard to believe OSN would have a public API for anyone to pull information from, or even to provide an RSS feed with private information about players. I'm not saying I don't believe you, just that it should be pretty easy to provide a snapshot of the google results (not the actual page you navigate to) and simply omit the short hand personal information that comes back...
Quote: SonuvabishFirst, I don't know how to post a screenshot.
On the page you want a screenshot of just hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Open up microsoft paint. Go to Edit->Paste or just click CTRL+V. Cut out the small portion of the picture that pertains to what we want to look at (this step is optional, but nice). Save the image. Go to photobucket.com or another free hosting site. Sign up with nothing more than your e-mail (I've never been spammed by them in 5+ years). Click Upload Photo. Select the photo on your computer. Then go to your Uploads, click the photo you want, click the "Link" symbol from the options just above the photo. Copy the "direct link", as this is what you need to post it here.
Lastly, in one of your posts use the img tag... [ img= (direct link url)]. I added spacing so it wouldn't think I was posting an image. Use the formatting codes link below every post editor if you need more help with the img tag.
That might sound like 'a lot' but it seriously takes less than 5 minutes. Copy paste, Upload, and link on your post. That's about it.
And yes it is all personal information, some of which is likely in violation of the fair credit reporting act.
Quote: 1BBDid you have to set up an account to gain access?
Yeah those suckers. All I had to do with give me name, address, scan my licence, and super promise I wasn't an advantage player ;)
Quote: RomesEh, from a technical standpoint sc15 has a couple very good points.
No, he doesn't. You can find the RSS feed easily. If he can't find a hit with his name, then there's no pic of him to view.

It's a temporary cached RSS feed that is a different site. Doesn't seem affiliated.

Yeah, I was going to do all that, why? I have nothing to prove. Someone courteously asked me how to check it, and I told him. If you follow the method described, and you do not find anything, you are likely not recently entered into OSN from what I can tell, at least if you play in certain locales. It took just over a week for me to be added to OSN after being entered, and that seemed typical.
I had a friend check recently added players, and there is indeed a person recently who was spreading $5-$200, who was originally backed off early august, and they got his plate when he was spreading 5-75x2 in sept.
If it was me, I would not try to go to a tribal casino for the near future, let's say, one year or more
Quote: kewljNow, you begin 'The Dance'. Unrated play. Short sessions.
I would not suggest that.
if you are trespassed and they find out you are in the casino, they can confiscate your chips and even call the police to arrest you.
Quote: sc15Actually he might be telling the truth.

I might be? I don't think u'll need to remind me to never take you seriously.

Although KJ's advice is largely irrelevant due to the fact I don't live in Vegas and don't have the luxury of short sessions, playing unrated is probably going to occur more frequently. I'm not sure u understand the difference between a trespass and a back-off. I've only been trespassed once. You can go into any casino you have been backed off at or flat-bet at, stand over the table until the count is high, then jump in and max bet. No law prohibits this.
Mcallister--can you verify you still have access to the page, and that you were entered more recently than I? I wanna know if my page just expired, or if something more sinister is at work.
If you're in MI, getting a new plate is fairly cheap, and you can request one of their specialty plates in order to get a different plate number.

Quote: KeyserRather than worrying about whether or not you're in OSN, you should consider getting a part time job. You'll earn more money, and you won't have to worry about being in OSN.

Quote: 1BBHmmm. I wonder if OSN subscribes to the WOV suspension list.
I never thought about the issue of whether any WOV forum membership information is distributed by the WOV forum to any third parties (other than law enforcement).
Would a WOV forum administrator care to post a statement that informs us whether the personal information of forum members is ever distributed to third parties in the gaming industry? I am happy to give WOV the benefit of the doubt - but I would be even happier if you would categorically deny this.
Zuga would be the one to ask, FYI.

I categorically deny that the WoV Forum disseminates any information about our Members (other than such information that they have publicly posted themselves) to anyone, anywhere, ever.
Quote: RomesI very highly doubt LCB would disseminate our information to any "unknown" third party vendors. I would imagine they could give away statistics about our group, maybe some emails to gambling sites to spam us with offers, but past that they really shouldn't even have much information on us... A form handle and an email (which you should be using a burn email account, sooooo).
Zuga would be the one to ask, FYI.
We do not share Members' information with online casinos, including E-Mails.

Thank you Mission146. That's a very clear answer and I'm sure what everyone presumed to be true.
