Hi guys, I'm just a new folk here trying to understand blackjack in a better way, i recently tried some simulations with different counting and betting strategies and what comes up to my eyes everytime i run a sim is that the HI-LO counting method results as a losing method in specific games like this :
6d game with a 60% penetration playing a sort of a BP betting spread 1-10 that goes like this TC <= 1 = 1 unit and TC => 2 = 10 units
so why the heck does hi lo lose during the long run when counts like the Zen complete count doesn't?
i don't know if i can post images here but i'll try to write down the results over 100 milion rounds and 100 hands per hour
win rate goes like 0.01 cents per hour with the zen count
and goes down like -0.04 cents per hour with HI-Lo count
apparently i cannot post images so this is it
thanks for the answers guys
and sorry for my bad english :)

The difference between +.01/hr and -.04 hr is pretty insignificant. What both sims are telling you is that is a pretty crappy game, just about a break even game either way, because of the lousy penetration. Why are you bothering to sim this game. You need to find a better game. If this is the only game you have available, you are going to need a much bigger spread, and the bankroll to go along with it and you will be experiencing massive swings in both directions. This is why you need to find a better game.

alright thanks for the answer dude, its just that i live in Italy and the casino games ar 7hours far away of car travel from where i live they play 5 deck game blackjack over there with 5 euros minimum bet with much better penetration, my questions is now, say i want to go for a weekend trip to the casino how much bankroll should i take with me playing a 1-10 bet spread gorilla? i mean i know its 100 max bets to play and to lower your RoR but, i only have 1K euros on me to spend at the table, isnt there some kind of a formula to calculate how much my bankroll should be for a weekender trip?

These questions are all answered in threads that are either on page 1 or 2 of the blackjack sub-forum. The 100 max bets are also addressed as not a valid bankroll size since now there's the ability to simulate games. The simulations you've been running should be able to tell you what size bankroll you need.
When you say 1-10 bet spread gorilla, are you referring to team play where you flat bet and call in a "gorilla" player to bet bigger?
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
