He's going to keep getting kicked out. He's too recognizable.

I heard he was seen at Motor City Casino, but I'm not sure if they take his action. I'm sure if he steps foot into MGM Detroit, he'll be out right away.

Now I know these articles should not be taken at face value but what I found interesting (if true) is that he looked bruned out with bloodshot eyes.

Could it be that he has fallen in? Is it all part of his gambling persona? Some people just enjoy gambling but I wonder what his motives are if there are any?

IMVHO anybody can fall in and get stuck, even Batman (or Daredevil depending on your taste in movies).........

Still, if he has gone over the top, why would they kick him out? Are they simply kicking him out because of what had happened in Vegas or are they running the guys play down themselves? 20 minutes seems a little short to do a proper survey, inform table games, who then have to conver amongst themselves and then decide if they want to back him off or not? Also I am finding it super weird that Security keeps on backing this guy off. It is always up to the Casino Manager on duty (admittedly with Security in attendance) who will speak to the guy, try and get as much goodwill out of the situation as possible and then ask him to not play blackjack anymore.

Something tells me the person who wrote this article is no expert....."Advantaged play" :)

Being that it was a Caesars managed property (They do not own it, the OLG does), this wouldn't surprise me. If he was booted, it was because of the former Vegas incident I'd believe. Motorcity had no problem with him playing and even provided security to keep the riff raff at bay.

Many casino companies aren't in the business of making money anymore, they are in the business of marginalising.....

Caesar's being a great, big, shining example!

His people said the story was made up :)

It is in all probability but what if he has just become a degenerate and his people are trying to cover his image?

As I mentioned previously, anybody can become an addicted gambler......anybody

Says he was smoking a cig there. Caesars Windsor is a nonsmoking casino.

EDIT: Nevermind, that person is talking about seeing him at MotorCity.

Just got home from Caesars Windsor.

I asked a couple dealers if they knew anything about this and they were clueless (no surprise there).

Side note: Caesars is so much better than the Detroit casinos. The difference in clientele is night and day.

From what I've seen I think Ben Affleck is one of those celebrities who actually tries to apply legitimate strategy in gambling. He showed up at the 2004 WSOP wanting to play poker. But I need to start this story a little earlier.

At the end of the 2003 WSOP final event, with Chris Moneymaker winning it and starting a media storm, when everything was over I remember the last two dealers coming out of Benny's Bullpen where the WSOP tournaments were played at the Horseshoe. The final event had drawn 839, a record to that point. One dealer said to the other "How many players do you think we will get next year?" The other dealer said "I wouldn't doubt it if we get a thousand next year." It turned out to be about 2500.

By the start of the 2004 WSOP we all knew it was going to be a big shebang after the Moneymaker Effect. Annie Duke came walking through the door. I was surprised at what I seen. Annie was a housewife with four kids. She had always been on the chunky side. She always dressed sloppy and walked around in bare feet. When she crossed her legs you could see the bottom of her feet and they were always filthy. But not in 2004. She came through the door looking svelte. She had dumped a lot of weight. She had upgraded her wardrobe. She was looking hot. She obviously had been on a diet/exercise regimen.

"The cameras" I thought. "She cleaned up her image for the cameras."

Ben Affleck showed up and promptly hired Annie and her brother Howard Lederer to teach him how to play tournament no-limit poker.

Annie Duke won her first and only WSOP bracelet in the $1500 O8. I already told the story of how Robert Turner had let her off the hook by not putting her all in when he had the nuts and she went on to win the event.

Rumours started floating around the Horseshoe about Affleck and the married Annie Duke. Affleck has a history of going after married women.

Two things happened about a month after the 2004 WSOP:

Ben Affleck won the California State Poker Championship

Annie Duke appeared on the cover of Cardplayer Magazine. In the interview she made the statement "People want to know what it's like to be a tournament player and a single mother of four." It's the first we heard of her separation from Ben Duke.
