Does anyone know if there are any decent games in Maryland? I heard a nasty rumor about continuous shuffle machines at the Maryland Live Casino. Are there regular games anywhere else? If so, what are the rules?

According to wrxrob, there is a mix.

And the games have to be decent at least. The state mandates 3:2 BJ and Stand on all 17s like PA does.

Maryland live had about half regular half CSM the last time I was there. That's still about 12 non CSM table iirc. The only downside I've never seen a minimum on BJ lower than $25 and a lot of times $50.

Been trying to AP a bunch of them recently. I've listed a few in wv and delware too. Not a far drive.

MdLive = 25 min for non csm games. Surrender allowed, stand on all 17's.

Hollywood-Perryville = 10 min for non csm. Surrender allowed. Stand on all 17's. Smaller casino, only a few table games. Use caution.

Delaware Park - Just 15-20 min north of Hollywood Perryville. = Min 15 for non csm. Surrender allowed. No splitting 10's allowed!(Ridiculous...) S17

Hollywood - Charlestown = 15 min for non csm. Surrender not allowed except in high-limit. S17.

All the casino's have been 8 deck shoes. So far the best penetration I have seen is at Delaware Park. Deal until 1 deck left.

I have yet to hit up Dover Downs. So if anyone has info on it let me know...

There recently, found $15 tables if you go more into the wilderness area past the poker room ... maybe CSM, didn't notice.

Charlestown with S17 on the main floor? I know the last time I was there (over a year ago) it was all H17.

Dover used to be $5 mins from 6a-noon everyday with 6 deck S17 rules. No Surrender, but it was usually $10-$15 min with non csm.

The CSM's at Md Live sometimes get very lucky. But BJ is a streaky game. Md Live's side game is "in between" which pays reasonably well.

I believe you are right. Charlestown was probably H17 on the main floor. I've probably mixed up a few of these casinos. I have seriously hit all of them a few times in the two weeks I've been in Maryland now. Been playing 4 days a week. It all becomes a blur.

Thanks for the info on Dover!

Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore is the best bet. All of their $10 games use a CSM, however, if you go during the week, you'll always find a seat at a $15 shoe table. All of their shoe games are 8 decks, but you can find ones with very good penetration. I've even had dealers give me pretty deep penetration (~80-85%) just by asking nicely and toking a pink every now and again. The rules are very favorable. All blackjacks pay 3:2, S17, DOA, DAS, LS, etc. Very good conditions. The staff are very friendly and professional, and the floor people and pit supervisors are generally pretty cool. Can't really speak for the high rollers, but on the low roller tables I play, I never get much heat, even though I'm there 3-4 times a week. Yesterday, I wonged in on 4 or 5 different tables for about an hour and a half, and it brought very little to no attention to me.

I would avoid this casino on the weekends if you're not into the crowds. Also, they raise the table minimums to $25 on the weekends.

On another note, I would avoid Hollywood Casino Perryville at ALL costs. The rules are the same, but penetration is extremely poor (~50%-60% the last time I went). Not worth your time. Hope this helps!

Do they still have a pit of 6D just outside the high limit area?
