I would love any insight or tips you all can give me.
Thank you in advance.
Quote: aceofspadesOK - so as many of you know, I will be competing in a $250k (promotional chips) BJ tournament in a few weeks.
I would love any insight or tips you all can give me.

do you know the specifics of the tournament.
How many people per table?
Hands per round?
Is anyone eliminated during certain rounds?
How many make it to the next round per table?
Does the table not matter and you are just competing against everyone?
How many people will be entered?
How many places pay?

My advice is play as if you don't need the money and have fun doing it. I would love to do it or even see it myself.

then unfortunately there is nothing anyone can say to help. That would be like saying, I am running a race can someone give me some pointers. The pointers would be different for a 40 yard dash compared to a triathlon.
Like mentioned above I would just try to have fun and play as it is with house money.
If you can get some rules from someone then you can definitely form a good strategy.

I saw the fine print. No attorneys, process servers,
or bail bondsmen are allowed to participate.

Don't lose, but if you are going to lose, do it in time to make the McNuggets Challenge!

I wonder if varmenti is going to make good on his promise to crash the Mission Challenge? Hmm...
Quote: AcesAndEightsI don't know anything about tournament strategy, but I would read Wong's book on it.
That's the best advice IMO. Even a cursory read (and it is very heavy reading) should provide a couple of useful tips
