So what percentage advantage is the free double and what disadvantage is the 22 push?
Quote: Zuko123A casino i know (dublin, ireland) has this promotion, you can double on 9/10/11 (european no hole card) but they give you the double for free,ie double 9v5 for a five euro bet and if you beat the dealer you win 10,you get this for split cards aswell.Sounds great but the catch is that the dealer 22 v any hand is a push.

Sounds like Free Bet Blackjack. All the math is on that page. House edge for the "basic" game is 0.79%, but there are a bunch of rule variations that casinos can choose to implement, which will change the edge. Apply the rules from your casino to get the edge for that game.

Also sounds like Geoff Hall maybe has someplace needing a visit? EDIT: also possible it is a licensed version of the game and the OP just doesn't know the name of it. Not to jump at shadows....

It is Free Bet Blackjack and the casino, in Dublin, has been licensed with the game for around a year now. The person who runs the casino is one of the most honest and likeable people I have met in the casino world.
To answer the OP, working from memory, I believe that the house edge is 0.73% for the game in Dublin.
