I'm always flat betting $10 and trying to play BS perfectly including the surrender.
My goal is always $100 up = 10 hands up.
The problem is even if I am 10 hands up after 30 minutes, I cannot leave because the playing time is too short.
One night, I played 8 hrs and lost $500.
It was always down immediately after the first hand.
There was a chance that I could leave the table with $150 down after 5 hrs by recovering from $300 down.
However, since my goal was $100 up, I kept playing and ended losing $350 more.
At that time, I thought I could easily win $150 back as I did just before.
The other night, I played 10 hrs and lost $100.
Initially, I thought this result was not encouraging.
However, I soon realized that I was lucky enough because it was just 1 hand down per hour!
Including the tip I gave, it was just 0.5 hand down per hour.
Now I'm realizing a realistic goal.
My goal is still $100 up and if it is, I'll leave the table immediately.
Now I think not losing is more important than winning much at least for me.
But in the case of loss, I'll adjust the goal accordingly.
If $100 down, I'll leave the table when $25 down.
If $200 down, I'll leave the table when $50-$100 down.
If $300 down, I'll leave the table when $200~$150 down.
My bankroll limit is $500.
But it's okay for me to lose "as expected as" the odds tells.
In order to do so, I need some discipline.
When I'm self-disciplined, I'll start to learn card counting.
Fortunately, blackjack tables of the casino nearest to my home, Red Rock, are not bad for card counting.
Double deck, 80% cut, mid-deck entry allowed.
This is favorable to card counting, right?
Keep it simple as a BS player.Quote: JThomeI'm quite a newbie because I just played about 50 hrs after knowing that there exists BS!

Expect to lose over time, the longer you keep playing, the LESS chance you will have of being a lifetime winner.
The probability of you winning $100 before losing $500 using BS
is about 80%.
That might sound good to start but if losing twice $500 and winning $100 8 times, on average,
is your idea of fun, have fun.
try to change your idea of playing to play for # of rounds played per session.
then you can use the Wizard's Risk of Ruin table here
https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/appendix/12/
so you know what to expect over how many rounds you play per session.
IMO, forget about the quit after winning $100 in a session.
play for time (# of rounds) if that is what you have the most fun doing.
Have fun and Good Luck
What is the house edge of the game you play?
After 1,000 hours or so I think you will be down 1 and 1/2 times the house edge at a minimum.
Okay. I want to make my thought/question simple.
What do you want to suggest as a way to most enjoy blackjack with BS?
It is not that bad for every BS BJ playerQuote: BuzzardSure is a lot of information missing. Assuming you play perfect BS ( a big assumption ) How many hands do you play per hour?
What is the house edge of the game you play?

say 100 rounds per hour and 1,000 total hours played.
100k hands played. sounds like a lot.
The chance of the OP being up 10 units after that many hands played is only about 1 in 12.3
ev (units): -500
sd (units): 364
So out of 10 million total BS BJ players, we should expect about
807,978 to show a 10 unit profit or higher after 100k hands played at BJ.
(added: about 1 in 20 or 500,000 would show a minimum profit of 100 units.
Nothing like BJ BS skill.)
I am almost (99.9987654321%) certain that of those 800K long session BS BJ winners, about
99.9987654321% of them will say they beat BJ because of their playing SKILL.
No other reason would come to their mind as luck has no part in their beliefs,
only end results.
The OP needs to decide why play BJ in the first place?
If playing BJ is fun, play until it is not fun.
That keeps it a personal preference, the best kind.
Most find gambling fun,
beats waiting in line at the grocery store when you
are not hungry or better than a kick in the groin.

If you hit your set win goal and didn't want to leave, I would gather that you already enjoy Blackjack.
Nothing like BJ BS skill.)
And most who think they profess that skill are sadly mistaken.
Except for the T2 v 4 play this is basically the 4+ two card composition strategy and is pretty easy to remember?

Play with other people at the table to reduce your hands per hour. Your bank roll will last longer and you can enjoy socializing with the other players and even the nice dealer.
Although it is not, many people think that blackjack is a team sport so you can play into that for now.
I suggest you keep memorizing BS and learn a good count. I can't honest offer any changes when I read about your success playing the way you do. I think it's what everyone is trying to find.
