How long would you play at one casino to avoid detection?

There are many factors involved. Every casino is different and every session is different. It could be 15 minutes if I've had my max bet out or 2 hours if I'm flat betting in my waiting mode. Sometimes I leave the casino and sometimes I go to another pit. It also depends on whether I'm playing rated, which I seldom do, if I'm known or if I'm just passing through. This is something that requires constant evaluation and is often overlooked by otherwise skillful players.

Agree completely with 1BB above. There is no single right answer. Every situation is different, to minimize heat you have to be able to vary any or all of the following. Your bet spread, where and how long you play, time of day you play and half a dozen other things. It helps the AP fly under the radar.

since I don't count, I quit after one shoe anymore, and I need a coupon to make myself play at all.

Depends upon the heat. I can play at a casino for twelve hours without any problem. There's another casino I only play for 3 - 4 hrs. due to the heat. But on the whole I play ~6 hrs. at any one place.
