I'm heading to Vegas this week end and purchased the march edition of Cbjn to get an idea of some places I'd like to play. Does anyone else use this resource or have any experience with Cbjn newsletter in regards to its accuracy? Thanks for the help.

I've found it accurate for Vegas. Remember that penetration can be dealer dependent even with a notch in the shoe. I prefer to do my own leg work since I have the time.

I think it is about 99% accurate.

Correct, CBJN is pretty accurate for vegas, where they have regular reporters report conditions each month. They don't have regular reporter in all parts of the country, so some places the reports are not very up-to-date. They use what they can get, and sometimes that can be months or even a year behind.

Even, in Vegas where they have regular reporters, who attempt to do an accurate job, the conditions reported are only a snapshot in time. The reporters go out at the very end of the mon or on the first of the month and report condition, but conditions are fluid and can be quite different a few days later or sometimes a few hours later. Condition also vary by dealer.

I am particularly concerned with months where that reporting period, last day of month and first day of month falls on a weekend, particularly a holiday weekend, because that 'snapshot in time' of conditions during a holiday weekend may not be reflective of 'normal conditions'. I suspect, you know all this, Wiz, but just wanted to clarify for others.

Yea I figured it would help me find some decent looking low stakes dd games so I can spread my play around and don't ruin my chances of returning to a watering hole on future trips.

Lol, my schedule is very similar to yours. I also got the CBJN March edition few days ago.
I think it's very correct. Even though game rules are changing fast in Vegas, this is the most reliable source I can thing of.
However, since you said you are going to play $5 stack level DD game, I don't think buying CBJN is a good investment for your situation unless you will stay long in Vegas. How long will you stay and counting in Vegas?
Great

I'm here till Sunday. My motive for investing in it is to find more games. This is only my second trip to Vegas and the only games I knew of in my price range were el Cortez and south point. The Cbjn has allowed me to find a handful of other, many with less crowded conditions. Thus far I have found it to be very accurate for the 7 casinos I have visited.

It's a good guide, but don't forget conditions change by the minute and by the dealer. For example, I've been in some casinos reporting 60% pen on a DD game. One dealer cuts 50%, then next 80%. You never know what you might find.

Oh boy. I just received an email wanting to know why I 'disrespected' 21forme, so I guess I will clarify. 21forme is a very accomplished fellow AP, whom I have known for a number of years, from a number of sites. I have learned volumes from 21forme over the years and have great respect for him. I am sure he knows that I wasn't disrespecting him, but was just playing, but now you all do. :)

KJ,
I never saw your response to my post in this thread, until now. Very funny!
Just to reiterate what kewlj said, we've known each other in APdom for a long time. His post was tongue in cheek and I take no offense, whatsoever.
