Hey guys there is something I was hoping you could help me with. The game in my area has a particular set of rules and I haven't been able to find the EXACT strategy card. Hopefully you all can help me figure it out.

the game is as follows:

6 decks, Continuous Shuffler, No Hole Card (European style), Dealer Hits Soft 17, YES to Double After Split, NO to Re-Splitting (or re-hitting) Aces

here are the more unique rules:

Surrender is offered on any dealer upcard, but if the dealer gets BJ you lose the whole bet.

If you Split or Double and the dealer gets a BJ then you ONLY lose original bet.

My question is as follows: Using the Wizards Basic strategy calculator it says I should surrender 15,16 and 17 against a dealer Ace... but does this rule take into account the fact that I lose my whole bet if the dealer gets BJ?

Also, in light of this should I be more inclined to double down with 11 against a dealer Ace?

This isn't European hole card, because you only lose the original bet when doubling against a BJ. This is equivalent to regular BJ. There's a casino near me that deals this way because their tables have no card-reader mirrors

Also, your lose the whole bet against BJ when trying to surrender is just called late surrender, and is very common.

So... 6 Decks, Late Surrender, H17, DAS is one of the standard rulesets. I'm sure the Wizard's card is exact.

thanks very much. it just seems so wrong to surrender all those times if there is basically a 4/13 chance of losing the whole bet. but if that's a standard late surrender rule as you say, I will follow it religiously!

But doesn't "no hole card" mean the same thing as "European style" ?

If the dealer has a BJ you can do what you want, you lose your initial bet anyway. So it's perfectly valid to assume a non-BJ dealer holecard for any strategy decision.

So does this mean I should use "Dealer Peeks for BJ" or "No Peek, No hole card (European)" ?

Sorry- I confuse easily. I just want to ensure I have the right card before I start printing these.
