So I'll always need to show my club card, and this makes me look weird.
When the pit boss record my card information, I just stand up because the count turns below -1. The dealer then ask me "you're done?"
Furthermore, I found that even though I bet a lot of money, I only get a little credits on my card because I wong in.
If I sit there and keep playing for an hour, I'll get free meal or even free hotel room even though I didn't bet that much money.
How will the pit boss count my credit when I wong in?
Should I show my card to the dealer if I wong in? The dealer alwasy ask people to show their card.. Should I say I don't want to show?
How about consistently sit and play people?
My friend always ask me if he should use a club card when counting cards. He pays extra attention to protect his identity. Every time we go to casino I'll use my card and get free meals, and he never use cards.
Should identity be a concern for card counters? or comp is more important therefore every card counters should get club cards?
After you've played your few hands, act like you have to use the bathroom. Either ask for a marker on your spot or say can ya hold my spot while I pee?
Then act all paranoid about your money and say "I'll take my chips with me" (some places insist you do anyway)
Head to the cashier and leave the place/eat/loiter,etc.
They'll still clock your time as playing while you're "in the loo" and if you're lucky, they'll forget about you and give you some bonus comp time beyond the 20 mins of hold time for your spot.
Either way you'll get a little extra comp time without wagering any money and after a while they'll log you out after they realize you left.
Quote: dwheatleyI use my card for sit & play. i think it looks weird not too, who doesn't want free stuff?
Well, it's not exactly a guarantee to get anything free. But I hear your point of "what's the harm"?
I think the OP meant, if he's only playing a few hands and leaving is there any point to using the card?
Because the pit boss will notice you leaving quickly and may not even comp you the time as he might feel you wasted his time. He may even make a note in the system that player jumped in and out, if you made a decent sum of money quickly, which could result in unwanted heat the next time around.
But who knows, maybe they just wanna keep busy inputting random player's card numbers?
Quote: BedWetterBetterOne trick I've used to get comps and NOT wager is:

That no longer works at many casinos. There is a pause button on the computer screen that is activated when you stop playing. The real sticklers will use it not only for restroom breaks but for cell phone calls, wonging in place or any other reason they come up with.
