One of my favorite casinos to go to offers a side bet called royal match. It pays 50 to 1 if a suited K and Q are the players first card and pays 2 to 1 if your first 2 cards are of the same suit. If you are using the hi low method to count cards, and know that there are more 10's and A's left in the deck is it ever worth betting, or is it still a sucker bet?
Thanks Everyone!

Yes, it is countable.

I did not cover the game when KQ suited pays 50-to-1. My analysis covers the 25-to-1 version. In the game when KQs pays that high, the analysis changes and it becomes more meaningful to just count the K's and Q's. But, obviously, this is a very high variance way to play against RM. Stephen How analyzed a 75-to-1 version offered at Barona in this blog post.Quote: AxiomOfChoiceEliot Jacobson has the details: beating the royal match blackjack side bet

But, to answer your initial question, hi/lo has almost no correlation to RM. The count I analyze is called the "difference count."
