Just needing a little input from an outside source.
I am working on holding a decent size BJ TRNY, and I am just wanting some BETTER advice and suggestions on how to make it a success. All input is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
How do you all feel about BJ Tournaments?
What size buy-in do you perfer?
What makes a good TRNY?
What would you like to see in a TRNY?
What have you liked/dis-liked from previous TRNYS?
All other suggestions on how to make it a better TRNY are welcome.
due to local competition, i do not want to post specifics.
Thanks again!

Is the house going to add to the prize fund with some of the BJ table winning you have to distribute back to customers anyway ?

I have played quite a few tourny's.The obvious would be the bigger the prize the smaller the buy in the better the tournament. From a players perspective often the rounds are a little to short. Players wanna feel they have time to make some moves with discretion vs just being forced to push due to time constraints Although if its to long that sucks too.

Low buy in, decent first prize.
Prizes for top 5.
$10k in chips.
Ten hands per round.
Three rounds.
Top twenty, top five, top two.
Either head to head all the way or at tables of 5.

On a serious note, which is difficult for me. Go on line and read rules and structure from other casinos. Pick one YOU like.
Maybe give 10 free tournament entries in a drawing based on players get a AJ of spades. I mean, they should get something for paying that ante.
Besides the cash give merchandise to half the field. In your market, that would be Harley Davidson shit and dinner at Hooters ? LOL
Tell you boss the next tournament will be better. Don't expect this one to go too smooth.
But do whatever you have to, and get the pit crowded as hell for that first tournament !
GOOD LUCK
Would ride my 1/2 a Harley* there if I could.
Friend named Biker Bob passed away a few year ago, age 40 bad heart. I have half his ride, a friend has the other half.
His kid, Little Bobby, gets it on his 18th Birthday.

When you have more time, there are books and articles about BJ Tournaments. I never read one but would read 5 if I played in them. There are some strange plays when needed lik DD on a 6 at the right time in the tourney.
