Quote: Mission146Congratulations, Ace of Spades!
Remember where you got nearly half of that, that's right, the Slots!!!
What about that $100 pull, one time?
Don't give him any ideas!
Quote: winmonkeyspit3Don't give him any ideas!
Hmmmmm I will ponder it over breakfast...

I decided against the $100 pull - please don't be mad

I think you made a wise decision.
I will keep everyone posted and, of course, Vegas in July!

What is the EV on one pull of a $100 slot machine?
Quote: aceofspadesWhat is the EV on one pull of a $100 slot machine?
not nearly as high as a +2TC
Quote: aceofspadesWhat is the EV on one pull of a $100 slot machine?
About $97.
It's still really, really fun though.
Like, really fun.
and there are people who would rather watch paint dry.

LOL
It was fun while I played but the lack of any "choice" or "interaction" (other than pressing the spin button) was not exciting

I completely agree with you and would never spend a large portion of my bankroll on slot machines - but we all have weaknesses and mine is for a spin or two on a large denomination slot machine. Part of it has to do with me living in Washington State, we have electronic pull tabs here which I refuse to play so I have a special affinity for RNG slots.

I'm not mad, AceofSpades, you had a killer trip that was also lucrative. Congratulations on your success!!!
Besides, I'm just glad you didn't pull and lose, or you may have been mad at me!
Is that weird?
Quote: aceofspadesIs that weird?
Yes. :)
But then you probably do more than one gambling trip a year.
I usually take a late flight out. So I'm used to having the bellmen keep my bags. Last trip the only return flight was early, so I stayed up late the previous night and woke up at 5:30 am in order to make the most of my time remaining.
I still think McCarran needs to have its own casino, with at least Strip-level games and pay tables. It would make a bundle.
Nice job. Congrats.
Ditto!Quote: JuyemuraI enjoy reading all sorts of trip reports, but I have to say that this session by session or play by play one is very entertaining.
Thanks in advance.
Quote: GameBoyDid you notice any side bets on the blackjack tables? And if so, which ones?
Thanks in advance.
I just was over there... In-Bet seems to be the game of choice there.

No blackjack side bets at Revel (at the S17 tables at least)
Quote: IbeatyouracesVery nice but did the +$2200 include the $1000 winnings from your freeplay?
Yes it did +$1000 slots and +$1200 blackjack
Quote: aceofspadesNo blackjack side bets at Revel
Then that changed overnight, since when I was there three hours ago the H17 tables toward the back offer the In-Bet side bet.

I edited my original post - we must have been typing at the same time - I was speaking only of the S17 tables :)
Quote: TIMSPEEDI agree with no gambling on checkout day...too limited on time...
Since my trips are flights, I will gamble all night long on the final night (assuming I have BR left). Some of my best hits have happened between 5 AM and time to head to the airport, after playing all night. I then will sleep on the plane, which makes it a short flight home.
You didn't spend that 2k+ all today, did you?
I spent all day working and even working right now - just taking a break
Quote: aceofspadesNo No No - I need that to get the rest of my losses back!!!

Out of curiousity what do you do?

Somebody hit the nail on the head. Great "networking" for future clients.
Quote: APDaveI'm going to be up there this weekend using my 400$ matchplay at Borgata, and playing through their father's day giveaway on Sunday(2012 Jag XJ). I'll probably stop by The Revel Saturday night (16th) and play some hands there, I played some hands in the Ultra Lounge last time I was up there. You going to be there sat night?
At this rate, probably not, I am preparing for a trial next week.
Quote: APDaveAh well, I'll try to impact Revel's bottom line a bit and dedicate a hand of split 8s to you.
Well, if they are dedicated to me, they will split into four hands LOL
Quote: APDaveThat's fine, preferably against a 5,6 up and not a face.
I hope you break the bank in AC - all winners all the time! If I do end up heading down I will certainly let you know!
