To be fair I bought in to the table for $1000 so I pretty much just doubled up. Only time in my life I've walked away from a table with a yellow chip though, which made me feel pretty impressive.
the Bellagio, admit it..

Wow. What'd you start with, if you had $50k in chips after a losing session?
It reminds me in the last gambling scene in Owning Mahoney. After Maloney loses millions of dollars, they give him a plate of his favorite dish: ribs, no sauce.
That's the gambling addict. No problem cashing in thousands and chips, but spend $5 at breakfast instead of $20 --- you're wasting money. My wife takes me to task every time I tell her to save a few bucks by not buying such and such, saying "look at what you waste at a casino". Touche. I just shut up now.
This is me. I'll walk down the Strip instead of spending $5 on The Deuce, then drop $XXX at craps. Hey, it's more money to gamble with!Quote: boymimboThat's the gambling addict. What?Quote: boymimbo$47,634 in chips, and McDonald's for breakfast??? ROTFL!!!!
No comment about the room key for Super 8 ?
I got a little crazy with my bets after I started really winning... but Lady Variance was on my side!

I decided to splurge a little because I was too tired to look for a Motel 6.
Quote: AcesAndEightsIt's funny that when I made this thread a couple of months ago, I considered cashing out $2056 on a $1000 buy-in to be a big win. Oh how I've grown since then, haha.
For what it's worth, for me that would be a huge win. I love gambling and have been in the industry for years and years but I'm still excited enough by $10 bets. I'll actually get really excited just playing $5 craps with a pass line bet and $27 across, at least after a few drinks.
One time I was staying on the Strip on a busy weekend. Before I went out for the night I decided to get a drink. Prices were outrageous so I figured I'd play some nice, slow Pai Gow for the drinks. I bet the minimum, $25 a hand, for four hands and lost every single one. I only stayed long enough to get two drinks. Then I went to the strip club, got drunk, and dropped around $1200. The next morning I woke up hungover. I looked at my empty wallet and my first thought was, "goddamnit! I lost $100 on Pai Gow!"

lesson I learned from this picture is that you shall never drink the "5-hour Energy" in casino.

Anybody ever stayed at a Motel six when they were $6. No phone, no TV, extra if you wanted those luxuries. And cable TV, forgedda about it back then. LOL

Never stayed in one back then. I'm sure I could find ways to keep myself entertained despite the lack of TV.

Yup, that was the cheapo joint in the 60's. Six bucks
a night was cheap even then. Didn't last long, went up
to $8 within two years.
Then I took a second look.
motel-ish place you were staying out and
go somewhere nicer ?
