So I said in another post, that I was going to try a new stategy at the crap table...
Simply play the pass line with 3/4/5 odds, and press if a shooter gets hot
Start at $5 pass, if they hit the point, go to $10, then $20, then $40, then $80...
Well, I started with $5 with 3/4/5...
They hit their point so I went to $10 with 3/4/5
They hit THAT point, so I went to $20 with 3/4/5
They hit THAT point, so I went to $40 with 3/4/5
They hit THAT!! point, so I went to $75 with 3/4/5 (I chickened out a little) Unfortunately they did not hit this point.
I won a couple hundred a couple times...
If they woulda hit that SIXTH point, I would have been up $1000, and I would have then not played the next point (and not been upset if they HAD hit the 7th point)
So, from now on, I'll stick to this strategy =)

But only on Tuesdays, right? And at a table that faced North.

Its a good system. You are using your winnings to press your bets and you are at full odds which is where one should always be. All that is good. Now if you had been making Come bets perhaps it would be more or less, I don't know. But its an okay system. Of course that Seven is always the most likely number but for a while there you did okay. Once you built up to the 75, the most likely soon reared its ugly head.

What if you had started with 50 instead of 5?
What if you had arrived at the table only after that 40 roll?

For that particular slice of time at that table, Lady Variance smiled upon you.
Good luck with her next time.

Yeah, there's a lot of variables there...
I usually play about 4-6 hours a day...and that same scenario happened a couple times (probably once per day). What made it most nice...was one time that it happened, "I" was the shooter!

You're locking up small profits from the odds each time you parlay, but otherwise you're putting all your winnings back on the table. That helps comp ratings, if that's important to you. Your bet size will grow much faster than your profits, however, and the big killer will be the come-out craps rolls. I might recommend a lower press rate -- lower than 100%, that is. I prefer pressing using the Fibonacci sequence, which translates to a rate of about 62% (phi). You'll lock up more money in the first few rolls and that'll help you last longer at the tables. Something like 5, 10, 15, 25, 40, 60, 100, 150, 250, 400, 600, 1000, 1500, 2500, 4000.

Or when you're wanting to change things up and play a different way to add some variety to your day.

Well I did it AGAIN!
This time I came away with $1200 total.
$5, $10, $20, $40, $60...and I HIT the $60 level! (It was a Hard-6; $60/$300) I only went to $75 after that...it was a 10 ($75/$225) and didn't hit :(
I also got a $150 average for playing like this ($150 in comp and I played 6 hours)
