[actually I'm not too sure too many have heard of this... supposed to be a way to have good luck rub off on someone else]
For the amount of time that you go, you should expect a couple royals a year. You could easily go a year without any royals, though.
Quote: saginaw10You be the judge, but i think i have just gotten extremly lucky. Back in september i got a royal flush for a $1000. Then in december i got a royal flush for another thousand. Then in february i got another royal in only 5 mins being there for thousand. And 2 days ago i got another royal but was playing dollars and got $4000. I'm not a go every day kind of guy i probably go 2 or 3 times a month to play VP. It's no 20000 dollar win some machines give, but im happy with the 7000 i've made.
I assume you're playing $1 machines and betting max $3 per roll??
I have played since 5/10/08, and I have hit 30 royals (A couple on Spin poker, I only count as one Royal, even though they were on 3 lines technically)
So ALMOST one a month...
Quote: gofaster87Huh? 4000 coin royal flushes require a full 5 coin bet. Im thinking his first 3 royals were quarter because a 3 coin $1 royal would only be 750. By the way good streak. The most Ive had in one week is 6 royals. Last year I hit 37, which is low for me. I dont play as much as people think but I play fast and hard.
Wow - 37 is amazing, especially if that's a low! If you don't mind sharing could you let us know some details around your playing habits - what game do you play, what are your hands played per hour and how many hours do you typically play in a day, week, or month?
My guess is that they were going for DIAD (would you really carry on playing after hitting a $20K royal?).
Nice way to get it!

I don't believe a word of this. I'm a pretty darn good player and have been playing just about 7 years. I don't play a lot...maybe 150 hours a year and I've seen some pretty long cold streaks. I have 21 royals and feel that this amount is pretty solid. The simple math of achieving royals is a decent indicator of frequency, and if you say you "don't play as much as people think", there's virtually no way you will have hit as many royals as this post indicates.

I've hit as many as 87 in one year, but keep in mind, most were on triple-play and five-play machines.
