I've decided to stop gambling as a way to supplement my income. By me not gambling any more, I figure it will save me roughly 300,000$

I wish you the best of luck with that minnesotajoe, I really do.  If I had the brains and courage not to gamble when I was younger, I would have saved myself somewhere in excess of a $1 million.  Heck, if I stop right now, I would probably save myself several more million dollars in the future.  However, gambling is just too fun!  Woo hoo craps tables!

Maybe having millions to lose is the fun part, and gambling is one of the benefits of that.  I wouldn't know.
