I stopped playing this game because of that side bet. I refuse to play it but I will jump off a bridge if I get it while at a table with that bet. I am ok getting it at a table with out the bet on it.
Good on Borgata for offering the million again.
I can only imagine the ruckus at the table when the dealer flipped his/her hand. I wonder if the guy just froze, trying not to give them any reason to invalidate the win.
Quote: beachbumbabsThe first year CET offered that 6 card diamond jackpot was 2013. In 1 year it had been hit at least 7 times. They took down the million. Now it pays 100k, same as any other suit royal on a fixed $5 bet.

I also wonder if he had the mini royal in the 3 cards dealt to him. Pays 100-1 on the Pairs Plus bet. Still nothing compared to the million he won on the other bet.

I was just having the same conversation with someone the other day. I’d be the one to hit it and not have the bet up....

Last time I was in town, they still had the million at the Rio and one other property (can’t remeber which). I think it is still sprinkled around on some of the CET tables.

I played 3CP at Bill’s around that time. I sat down and everyone ribbed me about not playing the pair plus, since, you know, that’s where the money is. First hand, I get 3 of the royal diamonds. At that point, I’m just hoping the dealer doesn’t have the rest. They didn’t, but the chances were relatively good.
While reading both of your posts today, I had to re-look at your username just to be sure it didn't say Nathan.Quote: TinManIf I won $1MM in casino (or any amount), I'd sure never want my photo taken or any press at all. Just asking for a headache and a never ending line of people wanting a hand out. Not for me.
What was I thinking, she just got suspended recently.

If it was Nathan, she would have to hijack that account.
His first post was in 2009 asking about Hickok 6 card poker and referencing Andy Block. That name is a blast from the past.
O . O
Speaking of which, someone hit the royal playing Let It Ride at PH for $715K.
Looks like they took out the tax already...

I would never in a million years take all that money in chips. That is asking for trouble.

I see your Royal Flush and raise you a bigger blind Royal Flush
He allegedly plays Caribbean blind, as to watch TV and have a good time. I'd say his strategy worked...........

As far as I'm aware, Venetian is the last casino on the strip that still even has Caribbean Stud.
Imagine playing blind and flipping that over. Wow.

Maybe it was just for a publicity photo. Like in those big poker tournaments where the winner is sitting behind a stack of millions of dollars in cash. I'm sure they don't just dump all that money in a big duffel bag and say, "Well, here ya go."

$1,000,000 in hundred dollar bills will fit in a backpack and I am pretty sure they will give it to you in cash if that is how you want it.

Precisely why I drive 5mph below the speed limit anytime I’m carrying over a million in cash.

It would be fun to carry what looks like $1,000,000 in a valise in the trunk of your car. Your really only need $1000 in 100's on top with the rest stacks of plain paper underneath.
Just looking at the cops reaction when you open it for them.
Or maybe it wouldn't be fun, but it would likely be interesting. Perhaps not in a good way.

To help understand what this looks like, here are some annuity regulations from Vegas, provided by the Nevada Gaming Control Board:
Periodic payments are used for prizes of $100,000 or more.
If the prize is between $100,000 and $200,000, payments will amount to at least $10,000 annually.
If the prize is more than $200,000, the annual payments will not be less than 5 percent of the total amount.
However, leaving casino winnings in an annuity sacrifices some of the value of your money.

Wow, that's incredible to learn. Does it have to be posted at the table that the prize is an annuity? If I win $100,000 on a big bonus, I want my $100,000. All of it. (Well, minus the 24% tax withhold, of course.)
LOL. A 99% House Edge - how disgusting is that?

Aren't there a number of small prizes you can hit so the HE is much much lower?
