I usually place bet, with some line betting and the occasional hardway, but otherwise I ignore the proposition bets due to the high house advantage.
So I played my normal game until the dice came to me: then I followed the voice in my mind ...
I tossed in a dollar chip to the stickman, and said "Dollar Midnight."
I rolled a twelve: the dealer cut out thirty dollars.
"Parlay!"
The dealer put all the winnings back on twelve.
I rolled another twelve, and locked up $930.00 in winnings after two quick rolls.
"Four, hard four", the stickman said. The dealer swooped up my chips. I was broke. I walked slowly out to my car.
The voice in my head said, "Aw, shit."

What did you put on the line? Did you go with Don't Pass and end up pushing? What about roll #3?
The man was probably up $1000 on the hard-ways bets. The dice went around the table twice more. I looked over at him and his chips were gone and he had a pretty sad look on his face. He threw his remaining $25 on the hardways and put $5 on the horn.
7 out. He walked away with 1 white chip in his hand. I almost felt bad, except for the fact when I walked up to the table and congratulated him on getting lucky on the hard ways, he mentioned that the middle was the only bets he made.

Five dollars on pass line.
I don't bet the Dark Side.
Roll number three was NOT a twelve.
The bet was not part of a hedge, it was an attempt to surf The Twilight Zone.

So, the, "voice" told you to bet and parlay the 12, but didn't tell you that you would lose $10 on the line? hehe
I walked up to a craps table and saw there was just one player, with a few friends (one, a girlfriend at least half his age), and he was coloring up prior to leaving.
The box was counting out his chip total: $32,610!
"Nice run you had there," the box quipped.
Indeed.
Ever notice how those guys with very young girls seem to win at the tables.Quote: MrVone, a girlfriend at least half his
Quote: KeyserYou've got to love that "M" casino. I like those free drink machines too. I just wish it was closer to the main part of the strip. The main strip casinos could learn from the "M" how to do things right.
Not for nothing, but the M is bleeding cash (maybe break-even EBITDA in a good month) and is currently, quietly for sale.
You would then have a great casino in a great location.
Quote: KeyserI wish they could somehow dig a trench around the M Casino, then pick it up using a GIANT CRANE, and then just drop it in place on top of the Flamingo.

Hmmm...also featuring a basement nightclub called "The Squashed Flamingo"...
