So I've been in Las Vegas for three days, and played blackjack a little each day. I stayed at Aria, and my first day was extremely unlucky, being that I only played a little while but lost $180 on 6D Blackjack. My second day, I played again for 40 minutes but ended up winning back my $180. Now, here's where the story gets interesting. I had a few drinks during lunch on the third day, and wanted to play some blackjack I bought in for $200, but ended up losing all of it in the span of about 12 hands. I rebought in for 100, and over the next 2 hours, I turned $100 into $700. So, technically, I won the largest I've ever won, a total of $400. I even got my first purple chip! :)

You don't count so it must have been the drinks. Now you know what to do. :-) Which six deck version did you play? Mix it up a little and try the double deck game if you can get one with a decent table minimum. Continued good luck to you!

I was playing the 6 deck game with hitting on soft 17. I've never played before after having a few drinks, but it sure was fun! :)

I can't say no to 0+$1 tip drinks. Congrats, glad you had fun. You should try counting, it even adds to the fun.

Yeah, I'll have to learn it for my next trip to Vegas. Who knows, maybe after a few drinks, I'll get up to a grand.

Nice to walk away a winner, jj! Enjoy!
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.
