As was discussed in the thread

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/big-wins/20061-please-help-just-won-26k-progressive-on-bj/

Some 70% of tax filers take the Standard Deduction according to the below link. What do you think the percentage is for taxpaying gamblers?

Note that I do not entertain much the notion that gamblers would likely be better than the general taxpaying public

Source for the 70% is http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/publications/urlprint.cfm?ID=1001486

Just because ican not read or write, I should be allowed to vote. Especially for a democratic party candidate.

With casinos everywhere, nowadays it is easier for people to gamble without going far. In prior years you had to get to Vegas or AC to gamble, so people who didn't have or want to spend money to travel there wouldn't go to a casino. But now many can get to a casino in a short drive. So I would think the percentage of people who choose standard vs itemized deductions (which is driven by income) would be about the same for gamblers or non-gamblers. Or pretty darn close to it. I think the cross section of income ranges for casino players is probably about the same as for non-casino gamblers, nowadays.

a write-in campaign?

Forbidden, oddly enough, by very longstanding Nevada state law.
