Turning a $5 bill into $500

LOL, so it's not a short-quick thing..but it was really funny this past weekend how it all turned out...
For starters, I started with $300...playing different games (video poker, video keno, Shoot-to-win craps, live craps, UTH)
and for whatever reason, my $300 had been decimated down to $55 (2 greens and a $5 bill)
So I proceeded to buy-in on a $5 BJ table for my two greens (SingleDeck, 3:2, No RSA/DAS, D10/11 only; Regular Reno rules)
I played a while, probably an hour, on those two greens, mostly betting 1 unit ($5) but sometimes 3 units...
SO, I busted out, and then it hit me, I had a $5 bill left in my pocket...lol...REALLY, what was I going to do on OOOONNNEEE bet...but anyway, maybe I'll get to $20 and go play video poker..
So anyway, I guess I just kept winning hands and after winning a few of my 3 unit bets (including a 3 unit BJ and a 3 unit double), another guy asked me "Dude, did you just run that $5 bill up to $100?!?"...haha, I guess I did!
So I proceeded to cash out with my black chip, and go over to the crap table (I dunno why...stupidity I guess?)
Well, it looked like it was more-of-the-same (aka: PSO, PSO, PSO) so I put $10 on the DP along with $18 Odds...sure enough a few shooters went PSO...
So I had ran that $100 up to $200...about the same time I was doing this...some guy who I haven't seen in YEEEEAAARS comes up to the crap table (which happened to be a $2 table; JANugget for ya, lol) and says "Let me get $5000."...I told Krista that it was about to get REEEEAL ugly, and I was gonna push my bets up because I know how it goes when heavy hitters play at JANugget (the sharks come and rip em' to shreads)
This was how I ran the $100 up to $200 (winning on average $20 per shooter)...while "Bill" lost the $5000...he was steaming real bad...
I dunno what caused him to do it..but he went over to the ATM and drew out $500...I told Krista "No point on that...$500 ain't shit to win $5000 back."
Well, I guess I was WRRRROOOONG...Krista got up to shoot, and I decided to switch to the PassLine...LUCKY I DID!
She went on a freakin HEATER! "Bill" basically decided to take his last $500 and chunk it on the 4/10 (bought them each for $250)
Krista started rolling 4 after 10 after 4 after 10! All the while making 4 or 5 passes...ANNND, Bill liked to play the horn...BIG...he would play MAX ($200 Hi-Lo, $200 Yo)...well, so I tossed a 5 on the Hi-Lo...So Krista rolled 12 and then 2!! Bill straight up made $6000 in two rolls!
After the smoke had all cleared and Krista 7'd-out...I was up to $500 and Bill was up to like $22k (He had went to $500 on the 4/10 and he was playing like $225 + 3/4/5 on the passline)
SO....that's my story about how I turned a $5 bill into $500, and magically, how "Bill" turned the $500 he drew out of the ATM to $22k (to buy his marker back and STILL have $15k!)

I once ran my last $25 into $900 in PG tiles before losing it all back again.

10+ years ago i walked into a casino with $8 in my pocket no other money what-so-ever, had enough for one bet, I was a college newb at the time and was clueless. I loved craps just didnt like the communication aspect of it, didnt like to feel rushed to take bets off or on, plus i was new i liked to touch my own chips, move them on and off stuff like field and the even money 6/8 bet...yes bad bet i know. Well I walked up and pulled out just $5 put in on the 8... won grabbed my money watched a few more rolls then put $5 on the 6 won...did this like 5 or 6 times and soon i was up to like $30. I kept doing this and now i was actually rolling so i had to play pass line as well. Long story short I never bet more than $5 on anything and soon was sitting with close to $150... Huge win for broke college kid, was my first 3 figure score...3 figure score LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I met my wife that night after a start to an EPIC party weekend. So in all it turned out good. I wonder what/where/how i would be if i wouldve lost that $5 bet... LOL

I love these stories. I've had a few similar ones; my best one is probably my first time in Vegas. I went with my wife right after our wedding. She was in grad school at the time and we didn't have time or money for a real honeymoon. So we flew to Vegas for a couple of days after our wedding. I had very limited bankroll. She was sleeping off the flight out there..I couldn't sleep. We were staying at the Monte Carlo and I told her I'd meet her in the lobby at 11:00 am and we were going to eat brunch at the Bellagio(soon after it opened) and just walk around Vegas. So it's about 10 am on a Monday and the place is pretty dead. I find a $5 BJ table no problem and buy in for $50. I must have won 22 out of the first 25 hands. Including a bunch of doubles and splits. Turned $50 into about $525 in like 30 min, just playing basic strategy. I didn't count then. Tipped the dealer $25 and cashed out 5 black. The wife comes down and skeptically asks, "how did I do?". I show her the 5 blacks. She see's they are $100 chips and thinks they are souvenir fake chips or something. I insist they are real...she still doesn't believe. We walk to the cage and I cash them, now she is impressed(finally). She spends the whole brunch..getting me to explain how I did it. Just good cards I say, and basic strategy. She begs me not to play anymore that trip so we can leave "winners". I ignore her of course. Turned the 5 hundred into a cool 15 hundy. She see's that; and takes the money from me, and it stayed in the room safe the rest of the trip.

the fact that you met your wife later that night makes this story amazing. your whole life would have been different if you missed that very first big 8.

yes i know. we have 2 kids now and april 5th 2002 is the day this happend and we first got together, its 11 years tomorrow. I do still wonder what wouldve happend if i lost...?

I once went from $2 to $80 on the craps table.. Just did hard 6 &8 to start and the shooter went on a heater just after hitting one of those hardways... I lost it all about ten minutes later, but still fun while it lasted..

Ten years ago, I was down to last $20 at one casino and the dealer was almost literally giving away hole card info, paying pushes. Left with $300, won $175 on roulette, bet $175, DD on another table, came back to original dealer and finished above $1,000. I don't go there too often, but another time overheard another young kid talking about being down to last twenty and also won up to $1,000. There I was thinking it was like a code they hear to help you win for good will and promotional word of mouth. I couldn't help but think what are the odds I heard another random person talking with friends doing the same thing I did.
