Well, the ball landed on 9.
the 1st column was sleeping. Why bet
against the streak?

Because I had just lost about 3000€, I felt this time I can't fail - whatever I do. This was my destiny. Maybe I hadn't enough faith!
Now I have a strong feeling I'm gonna hit Mega Moolah progressive. Not the mini one!
Quote: IbeatyouracesThe same reason to bet with it. It makes no difference!
In the long run thats true. But in the short
term crap happens. You can only lose once
betting with a streak.
I really like the lyrics: http://www.lyricsmania.com/push_it_to_the_limit_lyrics_paul_engemann.html
Depicts not only the Roulette and other gambling stuff I've gone through, but other aspects in my life too. :)
Quote: Mission146I just don't understand the bet. I kind of get it if Black was meant as a hedge, but the thing is that you picked the worst column not to bet if Black was meant as a hedge. If Black was not meant as a hedge, then I don't understand why you didn't just double-up your bet on Black or on each of the column bets that you did make.
1.8K is the max allowed. I'm using my own fuzzy logic here. I had The Feeling it won't land on the 3rd column. Have some faith and forget about the logic and odds.

From the guy who just lost 3800 euros on fuzzy logic, assuming this was real money.
Quote: dwheatleyI think your faith is telling you to try a different pursuit.
No, just listen to Paul Engemann and watch Scarface the movie! The truth is out there. I have quite a many scars in my face too.
stay up all night?
Where are you really.
Quote: EvenBobFuengirola2, its 4am where you are. Do you always
stay up all night?

No, it's almost 6 am. I like the nights.

It's your money, you bet how you wish to bet. The legend says the Max Bet is 50,000, why would it only let you bet 1.8K?
The HE is the same on the bet(s) regardless of what you do. I just meant that if it is meant as a hedge, then you are maximizing your probability of winning on Black + 1 Column, but also maximizing your, "Lose All," probability, (again, assuming you bet two columns and a color) so I just wondered why you decided to do it that way.
Edit: did not remember correctly. 1.2K max per column.
Quote: Fuengirola2Here's the payout table and some boobs:
That was really, really, funny.
That is the payout table, sure enough. I think it's really strange that they wouldn't let you put $50,000 out there in bets in whatever fashion you like. I guess I could understand not putting 50K on a Straight Number Bet, because they probably couldn't absorb the loss. Then they'd have to go through the hassle of running you around while they close out other players' accounts, shut down the website, create a new company and a new gambling site...so that would suck for them. Maybe they couldn't even handle a bad run of Even Money bets at 50K, though, I don't know.
Quote: Fuengirola2Mission146: You mean it wasn't funny?
I'm sorry? No, I meant that it was hilarious.
Interesting annunciator panel but it doesn't affect the outcome of the spin either.
Many people would have made a different bet, many people probably made the same bet that you did.
I like to bet the outside too. Of course, now that I know the results ... .

They just wouldn't pay. Standard practice !

I'm just glad math has kept me away from online casinos (it didn't for online poker, but I did barely win playing that since many online poker players used to suck, including my Dad), and I am also glad that my mother is too old/dumb to fund a real money account for an online casino. If she was able to gamble online for real money, my parents would probably be screwed. My Dad tried PokerStars and would occasionally play with me, but he only lost ~$60 before Black Friday playing tiny stakes since he played ~monthly, thank God. lol
The bottom line with most online casinos is that it's so damn convenient that you can bet so much money in such a short period of time that their small edge over you will wear you down faster than you can say "Jack Robinson".

So you think that only low-IQ people play -ev casino games? That's not true. I know RTP's for games I play.

I have an above average IQ, I have a doctorate in chemical engineering, and I still occasionally play penny slot machines that return < 90%. So why would I ever think that? But I rarely play penny slots for extended periods of time, and usually < 50 cents per spin. And this was NEVER online. The only online gambling I participated in seriously is online poker where I made a small profit.
