Been trying to build more complex parlays lately (like 6–8 legs) but I’m always second guessing what the actual payout would be.

I’ve been manually multiplying odds and it’s driving me nuts. Do you guys use any kind of calculator or shortcut to figure it out?

I found this parlay calculator that also shows implied probability for each outcome — which actually helped me stop overbetting dumb legs lol:

Curious to hear how you guys calculate yours — any tips or rituals before locking it in?

For a true parlay? There is no shortcut - just use, for example, the calculator on your cellphone.

My biggest parlay win wasn’t life-changing, but it felt great—hit a 5-leg for a few hundred bucks off a small stake. For payouts, it’s basically multiplying the odds of each leg together, then multiplying that by your stake. Most sportsbooks show the potential return automatically, but I still like to double-check the math before placing a big ticket.

It’s easy to figure out what you’ll be paid on a win. What’s (sometimes) difficult is figuring out what the true odds on a fair bet would be, and what juice you are laying. And in my case, is the ‘boost’ I’m getting enough to overcome the normal ‘juice’. I can usually turn a 20% boost into (small) +EV. And the 50% boosts are quite easy to do so.

I don't remember the last time that I made more than a two team parlay. I generally have a hard time picking one winner so including a wager that requires more wins for me doesn't justify the juice.
You can't know everything, but you can know anything.
