Is MDawg doing anything Vegas related for March Madness? I’m sure there are events tailored for high rollers?

Have your hosts contacted you about the November F1 race yet?

I watched (only because I had a bet from DraftKings) the F1 race from Bahrain. Perhaps the most boring sporting event ever. Max Verstappen was ahead by 10 -15 seconds throughout the second half of the race. No one challenged him. The announcers made a big deal when the 14th place car overtook the 13 th place car. My bet was on a top 10 finish by Bottas. When I turned it on he was in 9th. He finished 8th because a car ahead of him had engine trouble. No passing by him. No one passed him. If you watch NASCAR there is tons of passing.

I've never been into March Madness per se because I'm not into basketball other than maybe the NBA finals.

F1, the casinos haven't declared who will get what yet.

We've watched a Nascar race live, and for us it was about turning your head back and forth monotonously until pretty much the final lap where everyone stands up to see who is going to win. I assume F1 will be at least more interesting than that.

I have been to two NASCAR races and they were quite different. The first one was at Charlotte Motor Speedway and I sat in the stands with the locals. Other than the noise it was enjoyable but way too long. The second NASCAR race I went to was in Las Vegas where I sat in a casino box. The noise level was better since I was further from the track but for me the event would have been better at home in front of the TV. I really doubt I will go to another major race as I prefer going to a smaller track where you get to watch many much shorter races.

I took younger son to Martinsville for a race. It was great. We went to all the pre race events. I bought expensive seats which were high up. As opposed to hockey/basketball/baseball where you pay more for lower seats. You can see entire track from those seats. Martinsville has boatloads of bumps, crashes, passes so it’s pretty entertaining.
As much as I enjoyed the experience, I’m not yearning to go back. It is logistically a pain.

As far as steak, been sticking to New Yorks lately, seem like a nice compromise between flavorless lean and whoaaa-fat ribeye.


At the other end of the red meat department is something like this, beet tops.
