Enjoy the game. Root for ‘no successful onsides kick’ for me. I bet $44 to win $2!
I did the bet with my wife, that's it. Me: Rams, She: Bengals. No point spread!
This suite wasn't as large as others we have been in at So-Fi, but it was nice, and not overcrowded.
There were three sets of food brought out, appetizers, main courses and then more food and desserts. Also, as usual, if you wanted anything else by special order the casino would pay for it.
Ribs (actually some kind of Tomahawk steak) on the bone, the whole bone!
As usual, the performers face the non-Club side seats.
L.A. was on fire after the win!
DD Blackjack. 500 - 25000.
Couple of monster sessions, up and down, was down as much as -47K at one point. Got almost even, stopped.
-400
Note: Lately, for security reasons, session reports are not necessarily presented in real time corresponding directly to the day played.
I'm willing to present a side Challenge. If anyone doubts that any one, just any one of the Session reports I present during this trip is not entirely accurate, throw down a red flag! Put up a mere ten grand in cash, let's work out how to verify the Session to your satisfaction using the Wizard as the judge, and winner takes the twenty thousand.
I'll contribute five hundred from my end for the Wizard's time if the Challenger will do the same, so that's $19,000. to the winner of this side Challenge.
This Side Challenge remains good for the duration of this particular Vegas trip.

You are different than me. If my bet size is in the thousands there is NO WAY ( barring a true time deadline) that I could stop at down $400! I’d bet $450 hoping for a win to end up. I’d bet $900 on the next hand if necessary. I’d probably find my friend Marty and bet $1800 one more time if necessary!
How was getting into and out of the stadium?
Getting into the stadium was pretty easy - we all arrived via casino transport of course, around noon. Getting out of the stadium building was easy but trying to walk back to where the casino transport was parked - not easy! Crowds, crowd control, barriers, closed streets, no-reentry to stadium grounds to try to cut across it, all that contributed to a difficult trek back to the home base transport.
Very nice. Thanks for the pics.Quote: MDawgThis suite wasn't as large as others we have been in at So-Fi, but it was nice, and not overcrowded.

That got me to read about the original and best as it were, Charles Ponzi
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Ponzi
What's remarkable about these types is how good they are at getting people to give them their money, and to not even ask for it back until it is too late. Ponzi really worked hard at a number of enterprises before settling into his scam, which actually had a basis in something that was quite profitable, at least on a small level, reselling postal reply coupons. If such types had just utilized their talents even somewhat legitimately they would have gone far. But perhaps not gone down in history.
For example, at Baccarat, any table I play at private reserved or not always has some red $5. chips too.

Was down as much as -20K at one point. What was funny is that every time I was up I'd think, I'm gonna stop - but, I kept winning more. Up 2K, shall I stop? Up 5K, shall I stop? Up 10K, shall I stop? I powered right through from +10K to about +24K, and then called it day, after a bit of downwards motion.

They raised the craps table minimum from $5 to $15, so I'd have to come back with more money to play that. I had to settle for the $1 to $300 outside numbers roulette machine that seemed to repeat numbers with some regularity, including green numbers.
I just needed to drive 100+ miles to recharge my dead car battery. But it will be dead again in less than 5 days in this winter weather. Maybe I have to drive for 10 hours to bring the cold cranking amps out of the bare minimum to start the car.
Hi CC,Quote: ChumpChangeI visited another casino and while they had table limits of $15/$25 to $500, there was another sign on the table that said refused names will be limited to 1 spot and $100 max bets. They even applied it to Spanish 21 where the limits at the only table were $15 to $300.

Actually the other evening I took the hotel limo to two different Banks' ATM machines to deposit some of the winning cash that had been accumulating in my Winner's Pouch that I hadn't quite gotten around to depositing. My wife had our car and I was feeling Victorious enough to want to deposit some funds right then and there before dinner. So I commandeered hotel transport.
The Winner's Pouch is seriously bulging! with high denomination Chips waiting to be converted to Winner's Checks.
but at least now it has only a modest amount of cash in it, compared to what was in there just some days ago.
Anyway, trying to put hundred dollars bills into the machines and not choke them (only accept 3K at a time at one machine 7500 at a time at another), at one machine there were three Homeless lined up by it such that you had to walk by them to get to the ATM. Pretty smart mendicant thinking, actually. I wanted to give them some money but smallest bills I had were fives and I couldn't bring myself to give them fifteen bucks. At the same time it seemed wrong to give five to just one of them, and none to the others. I was going to take a walk around the corner to a nearby fast food place to get some change, but the limo driver was standing watch over me to make sure I wasn't harassed by the Homeless I suppose, so I ended up giving them nothing.
In the past I have considered giving the Homeless money while on a casino trip to be lucky. But lately, NOT giving them anything hasn't broken my streak. I did give something to a couple of African American youngsters who were selling candy supposedly to get school athletic uniforms. "I don't want any candy, but here are five dollars." I have to respect that sort of thing - at least they are not just begging like most of the others you see on the Las Vegas Boulevard bridges.
I have a friend who bought McDonalds gift certificates and he hands that out to people down on their luck. I think that is a great idea and may do the same.
I suppose the ones who are singing or performing are more worthy of a donation than the ones who simply have a cardboard sign?
How about the feathered "Show Girls" who ask if you want your picture taken, then, I assume, hit you up for $20. or some such.
Anything goes with Las Vegas street performers - and that’s the problem
How Much Do Las Vegas Street Performers Charge For a Picture?
There is a regular who claims to be selling "Veterans" cold water at $2. a pop on the bridge between the Wynn and the Palazzo. That is actually a good deal compared to what water costs if you have to buy it at any Strip hotel.

Quote: MDawgI agree that is the best way to deal with it. When you hand them cash you don't know if they will spend it on food or on drugs/alcohol.

Years ago there was a veteran with no legs who used to sit in a wheel chair all day by Harrah's (or close to that area) One day he disappeared and never came back. It was reported he made 6 figures a year and actually retired. He had a sign asking for people to help if they could. People really had a soft spot for this guy and I would watch him get a tremendous amount of money from tourist and locals. He had a great attitude and people really cared about him

There is an outdoor bar in Florida that puts out dishes of water for the dogs. Very relaxing place. A comment was "they treat dogs better than homeless people." Can you imagine?
A few months ago, I hit up the local McD's on the way to work, and got 2 breakfast burritos. As I am leaving, a guy comes up to me. He says that he's hungry and asks if I can help out getting him some food. So, I reached into my bag and handed him one of my burritos. I don't think he expected me to immediately call his bluff, because he just kinda stared at it in his hand for a few seconds. Then he asked me for money!Quote: vegasI was walking by a McDonalds and spotted two guys who I assumed were homeless by their appearance. I agree with you, though. I have no problem giving a hungry guy some food, but very rarely will I just hand someone some money.
