A guy comes into my casino sometimes with his autistic son and his son obviously doesn’t want to be there but I swear he’s trying to pull a rain man in my opinion

Does the son seem to have any skill? The vast majority of individuals with autism would be worse off, not better than everyone else.

The dude doesn’t belong in a casino he’s running around pulling his shirt and making noises that normal people don’t make a d probably has no interest or clue how to play blackjack but what I was saying is that I think the dad had the idea and it didn’t catch the kids attention or interest for it to work

That's really just kind of sad. He should be given more support in a day program or at a supervised job if he's got the ability to stay focused and is old enough. I'm guessing all the noise and lights in the casino probably are unpleasant for the guy.

You guys may know this but after a quick search, here is the person that inspired Rain Man (according to the link below).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Peek
I have high functioning autism and other communication disorders (you may notice it is often quite hard to understand my posts/threads).
Read below if you want any more info about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
FYI: I suffer from most of the "weaknesses" listed below, and some of the "strengths" too.
"People with ASD may:
Repeat certain behaviors or have unusual behaviors (this applies to me, I am a bit "OCD-like" when I lock my car or front-door of house).
Have overly focused interests, such as with moving objects or parts of objects
Have a lasting, intense interest in certain topics, such as numbers, details, or facts (this applies to me, especially with numbers, probability and gambling)
Be upset by a slight change in a routine or being placed in a new or overstimulating setting (sometimes true for me)
Make little or inconsistent eye contact (this applies to me)
Tend to look and listen less to people in their environment
Rarely seek to share their enjoyment of objects or activities by pointing or showing things to others
Respond unusually when others show anger, distress, or affection (true for myself)
Fail or be slow to respond to their name or other verbal attempts to gain their attention
Have difficulties with the back and forth of conversations (this applies to me)
Often talk at length about a favorite subject but won’t allow anyone else a chance to respond or notice when others react indifferently (this applies to me)
Repeat words or phrases that they hear, a behavior called echolalia (this sometimes applies to me)
Use words that seem odd, out of place, or have a special meaning known only to those familiar with that person’s way of communicating (this applies to me)
Have facial expressions, movements, and gestures that do not match what they are saying (this applies to me)
Have an unusual tone of voice that may sound sing-song or flat and robot-like (sometimes applies to me)
Have trouble understanding another person’s point of view, leaving him or her unable to predict or understand other people’s actions (this applies to me)"
"People with ASD can also have many strengths and abilities. For instance, people with ASD may:
Have above-average intelligence
Be able to learn things in detail and remember information for long periods of time
Be strong visual and auditory learners
Excel in math, science, music, and art"
