If you had $1000 to play lotto.. 6/49 1:10,000,000 odds

Should you spend all $1000 on 1 draw for 1000 tickets or
Buy 1 ticket for 1000 days/draws

Question/scenario 2

Casino what game should you play?? Objective to double up(minimum) or lose it all..

Should you play 1 hand for $1000 or lots of smaller hands?

1) Mathematically they're the same. Personally I would rather have 1,000 drawings over 1 drawing though. Although to be technical, your best bet of winning a jackpot is to play once and never play again lol. Even if someone else plays it 1000 times they're not much more numerically likely to hit than you, and you save $999.

1:10,000,000 = .0000001
1000:10,000,000 = .0001

1:10,000,000 = .0000001*1000(drawings) = .0001

Both cases you're still <= .01%

2) This has been asked before. I think in the other thread the Wizard said you should bet roulette and make it so if you win you're at your double up goal (and to bet like this so long as you had the money).
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I would play 1000 tickets for one draw - but make sure it's a reasonably high jackpot.

How high do the jackpots tend to get, and how many people at a time tend to win when it does hit?

More people tend to play when the jackpots get really high, like over $250,000,000. Furthermore, I tend to find that when they do get really high like that, very few times is there only a single winner

If you play 1000 in one draw with unique tickets, you can only win once.

If you win with some duplicate tickets, a jackpot will be divided, but the guaranteed paid amounts would be added.

If you play in 1000 different drawings, you can win 1000 times.

Just some observations, no deductions or conclusions.

This is exactly the reason why practically you want to increase your chances of success and you should choose to play 1000 different tickets once.

In general, in any such game (like lotto, roulette etc.) betting many numbers once gives much better chance of success, while betting fewer numbers in many draws gives the (extremely slim) potential of winning more.

Blackjack. One hand Max bet :o) ( Yeah. I know you are screwed for a double or split.) If you play lots of bets, some winners will cancel out some losers so you will expose more in total to the house edge. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/21359-debunking-roulette-marty-with-pictures/3/#post441243

Playing the lottery is absolutely the worse odds in the history of gambling. Utah should be nominated as the best state for not allowing their residents to suffer the lowest odds of winning.

No intelligent person plays the lottery. You might as well take the $1,000 and donate it directly to a local school or charity as that is the better use of the funds without a heavier lottery tax being taken out.
