Watch this guy very genuinely try to teach the martingale betting system in roulette and have it implode as he does so. I feel bad for him, as he seems like a nice guy, so I hope he learned a valuable (to the tune of a few hundred Euros) lesson.
This short video has all the hallmarks of a true martingale: overconfidence: he says on a loss, "Oh don't worry about the losses, martingale has that covered" to incorrectly citing the odds, "now there's only a 2% chance of five reds in a row, so I really should get a black this time..." to utter disbelief "this is the first time I've done this live and look what happened ..."
This is a great instructional video:

Well, at least he posted the video and did not bury it. He learned what a good many Martingalers learn... that "strings" do happen and several spins resulting in losses can easily continue well beyone one's expectations and the casino's tolerance for doubled bets.
