Only my second post BUT

I am a small time gambler ( thats for sure) but my buddy and I think
even as symmetrical as roulette is..there has to be a way
to patiently bet and "always win"
( In this case, always wins means make money)

Might be IMPOSSIBLE on a table that is crowded, but an electronic machine...
esp on a single zero machine, bet 1-28
leaving zero and numbers 29-36 open...
28 chances to win 32(the electronic game is less odds)
or one a table game ( avoid the zeros) and bet
1-30 (30 credits to win 35).

proportionally, if you use dollars, a "really good chance"
to win 5$ / each spin..
or nickels, " good chance" to win 25 each spin.

if you win, 125 -expect to lose 25 before repeating your winnings?
-thoughts?

-
other variations....
playing ALL the FIRST 18 numbers ( nickels) and then matching that bet
in this case 90 dollars on the second 18?

meaning if YOU hit a number ....doing the math /as I typed this
think you just spent 180 to win 175+5
BUT there has to be some thing...maybe put the 90 on the first 18
-

this was way easier to explain in real conversation over the phone....

Sadly, it is not possible to beat roulette in the long run. You can change the rate you will lose at or the sizes of your wins and losses. but there is no way to make money long term. In the short term, strategies such as you have suggested may be succesful, but don't gamble any money you are not content to lose.

Every single bet in roulette has a house edge. There are 38 (or 37) slots on the wheel, but all bets are paid as though there are only 36 numbers. That means that the expected value of every bet is negative. The sum of a series of negative numbers is also a negative number, so there's no combination of bets that results in an expected win.

Also, why would it matter if the table was crowded?

Crowded table...
I find I can bet...

Im standing at the wheel/glass area, I can make my
red 5 /red / first 12 and... MaYBE odd

IF im trying to "corner" my number , from where Im standing
I am unable to make the odd 1:1 bet ?/maybe
the 2:1 column bet for the row
2,5,8,11,14 etc
due to the reach issue.... sure I AM
entitled to tell the dealer, but I dont...

I would never be able to cover 20
numbers in a short span

perfect answer.
and thank you for being kind

I like the part dont bet what you cant afford to lose

on the free home game, I have played ...
where you bet 6 at a time ( street)
placed/spaced out to cover more numbers...
BUT
that only pays 6:1....thought that was working for a while....

my new strategy is play a LOT on the first bet
even/odd or even or red and black, and use
that money (proceeds, winnings) to play the fave numbers that
strike me when Im on the table.

IF the table is 5$ min, I wont play more than the min..
so I can hang around longer...
find it funny when guys put every chip every where and what they
hit is a 4/way corner... spending 75 dollars to
win 8/and they have a high five, at least I got something attitude... lol

Roulette is totally awful, but I have a theory. Say you're playing with an experienced "dealer" who might have the ability to place the ball in a similar area a good bit of the time. Another person is betting big, playing the same numbers, and tipping well. You might want to copy his bets. Maybe lol
