We just launched 36 hours ago. 30 members is pretty good for how niche the online baccarat community is.
Quote: RonCWay too much time spent thinking about a simple A or B bet!!
There is more to baccarat. But I agree that it's simple. And yes people do spend too much time thinking about it.
Quote: sabreThat's easily the stupidest name for a website I've ever heard.
I don't really care, there are a lot of websites with stupid names.
Don't forget me. I have not played much Bac but I still like the game. Good luckQuote: Beethoven9thThere's a guy named varmenti who would LOVE your forum. Another guy named gr8player would like it too.

I guess now we'll never know, Beethoven9th, because the link to it was removed for some reason.
That's fine....I really haven't the time to devote for any new sites, anyhow.
But, that said, baccaratlabs, I wish you all the best with your new endeavor.

How about deep fried pickles??? Wonder if Mission could eat those by the dozens??
Mission, you feel like another eating challenge? I do like me some deep fried pickles!!
Quote: BuzzardCome on now, I hate the ping when an aluminum bat make contact. If you are gonna administer some old school justice, please use a Louisville slugger.
But titanium is shiny :)
Ha!

You've got the wrong guy, I don't really go for sour, except olives. I could probably eat 1/4th of such a pickle.
And yes, he was mad as hell at his wife, it turned out later.

Fair enough....would you still like the bat? :)

Thank you, but I prefer my hammer!
Quote: Mission146Thank you, but I prefer my hammer!
Shades of Hammering Hank, and I don't mean Henry Aaron. Back in early 60's I used to hustle pool in black bars on Fayette street.
Even I was not crazy enough to do it alone. Hammering Hank was my partner. My Uncle was an official in Carpenter's Union and got Henry an apprentice card.
Not that anybody ever hired Henry. But with that card in his wallet, and a hammer in leather sling on his belt, Henry could legally carry a weapon. Not an easy task for a black man back then.
Well egalite/John is there and they all seem to welcome him with open arms lapping up his usual drivel imaginary wins. He would fit right in since that place strokes his fragile ego. That site right now like the old BF are filled with mostly the gullible having no idea what to do. Easy prey. Right now egalite/John is the resident genius. So what does that tell you? LOL.
I signed up and shared some ideas here and there in the old site. Now that I have to re-register don't think I will jump back in. Will take a wait and see approach. Maybe after my next two Vegas trips. Or maybe not since the present thinking/approach among the masses there is the same old crap just spewed by different people.
The Wizard is brutally efficient. Like a laser guided missile and not miss the target.
And I did notice that Egalite/John is all up in it over there, as well. Do I really feel like rekindling our impossible relationship all over again, as well?
Nah...I think not. I rather agree with your assessment, D-man...I think this site knows rather well how to "weed their garden".
In fact, that's probably what I like best about this place. The baloney is rather trimmed here. Sure, I've been censored myself, as far as opening any new threads regarding my Baccarat play, but, frankly, I've grown fine with that. Look, the majority of the members think I'm either lying or I'm nuts, so why continue to butt heads? No point to it at all. So I've come to "accept the acceptable" around here...don't speak of bettering any negative expectancy game without proving how you do so. Without proof, it's all much too much of a mystery to the bulk of the WoV members. That's cool. I've grown fine with that.
Just so long as the "no baloney" rule applies equally, to all; I've no problem with it, in fact, it's rather refreshing as far as these gaming forums go.
Have a wonderful day.
Quote: Dicenor33A lot has been said about Atlantic Club employees loosing their jobs. On my last visit to Resorts in Queens, NY I found no dealers and about 1000 seats for baccarat play. You can find a streaky shoe and make your life easier.looks like this is a future of gambling.
Resorts World NYC is baccarat heaven. Has great optimal conditions. Plus no smoking a major plus. Yet I don't play there though. I find the results at the real deck Interblock Organic Bac to be unreliable because the results are continuos. The shoe never ends. IDT Bac is cool but uses a digital deck which I don't trust. I would only head back there only if they have real table/dealer baccarat. Or at least bring the stadium version that you can find in Macau or at the Palazzo in Vegas.

That's interesting.. I assumed they had the same type of machine that Maryland Live! uses. There are electronic betting terminals, but there is an actual shoe that is shuffled and dealt from.

Quote: gr8playerYes, the admin over there appears as a nice enough fella, and I happen to like some of what I've read there, but I just don't know that I've the time and/or interest to re-introduce myself and my approaches and theories regarding this game all over again. Is there, seriously, anything new under the sun, either at their site or, frankly, anyone else's?
.
I don't think that you have ever explained your methods here either
Quote: GWAEI don't think that you have ever explained your methods here either
LOL
Quote: DMSCRThat is the major plus with a real deck. It is the continuous result that I find deceptive. When a shoe ends you start with a blank slate yet with Interblock that is not the case. IDT starts over with a new shoe but uses a digital deck.
I find the whole thing rather "deceptive". I've zero trust in the results generated by those Baccarat "machines"; after all, I'm not a computer genius by any stretch of the imagination, but couldn't they skew the results to fit their needs at any given hand?
Just not for me....
Quote: GWAEI don't think that you have ever explained your methods here either
Hello, GWAE, I trust all is well with you.
I certainly have "explained my methods here". At least my Baccarat theories and approaches. And, frankly, my friend, that should more than suffice to assist the average Baccarat player to enhance their game immensely.
I cannot, nor will not, reveal my exact bet selection process. That said, I can (and have) tell you "how I got there, and what I was seeking to accomplish as I sought it out".
One needs a bet selection that has certain proven statistics:
Firstly, it must perform at better than 50%. If your bet selection cannot hit at better than 50%, you cannot win. There exists no negative progression deep enough to handle the ensuing drawdown of any "losing proposition" (read: negative strike rate).
Secondly, regarding those drawdowns, your bet selection needs to carry a relatively-tight variance. Read: While the high cannot get too high (above the median of 50/50), it is absolutely paramount that the low doesn't ever get too low. In this manner, drawdowns are both measurable and recoverable, relatively easily. Nevermind the highs, for the wins will take care of themselves. Much more important to mind those drawdowns, know how to recoup and know how to exit afterwards. A slight negative progression (emphasis: slight) should suffice to facilitate recoup of the controlled drawdowns.
And, lastly, I'd only remind you of the very necessary patience and discipline and self-control that one needs to have at all times. Look, those traits should be evident and just as necessary in our "everyday" lives and jobs, but become even more important at the gaming tables.
The casino gives nothing away. You'll work for every dime, especially over the long run. But, IMHO, given the right parameters, it is possible to get the better of the game. And I'm of the opinion that there's simply no other reason to play the game.
I wish you all the very best of it.

I haven't been back there for a year and a half. Especially when they removed those very comfy chairs on the second floor bar/lounge over looking that monster TV. Resorts World is baccarat heaven I definitely give you that but it is a piker casino.
Plus once you have experienced Vegas especially how baccarat is operated there, every where else can't even compare.
I would only head back there when and if they become an actual casino. With real dealers. With actual chips!
D-man, agreed. Real dealers, real chips...all else is nothing more than a computerized illusion to be played only by the uninitiated.
