Grab a pen and piece of paper, let's get started.

1) write on the first line how many chips you want to win. example if you want $5.00 chips times 40 you would write on the paper 40 x 1 (1111111111111111111111111111111111111111) Each 1 represents $5.00.

2) Cross out the first and last 1 and make the bet. ($10.00 on the field)

3) If you lose, add the amount of chips lost to the end of the line.
(111111111111111111111111111111111111112)

4) Repeat step 2 and remember to cross out bets made.

By the time you reach no more 1's to cross out and you did everything right, you will have your extra 40 x $5.00 chips.

I've never tried this on any other games but i'm sure you get the picture to customize to your liking.

happy new years. I'm drunk again.

whew! I was worried that I had turned into an idiot, as this latest made no sense at all to me.

for what its worth I think Wizard said this cancellation systemwould be his recommended "strategy" if he had to recommend 1 (no it does not win long term). that end # of u its would get very high for 40 units lol.

but we all know what else he says (and most) say about systems..

2) Cross out the first and last 1 and make the bet. ($10.00 on the field)

the Labouchere system
only crosses out the first and last numbers in the list after a win
and adds the losing bet to the end of the list after a loss.
(as I understand it)

and the Wizard shows
If you win cross off both numbers.
If you lose place the sum at the end on the right.

Your method (looks like a variation of the Labouchere system -
2) Cross out the first and last 1 and make the bet. )
3) If you lose, add the amount of chips lost to the end of the line
might fail horribly

example
starting list (1,1)
bet 2units
list as you say is now () empty
you lose your bet
list = (2)
net: -2

next bet = 2
list as you say is now () empty
you lose your bet
list = (2)
next bet = 2
net: -4
list as you say is now () empty
you win your bet
list = ()
net: -2
but still have a net loss with an empty list
and list says next bet = 0

what did I miss here
was it this
"I'm drunk again"

the Labouchere system
example
starting list (1,1)
bet 2units
you lose your bet
list after a loss = (1,1,2)
net: -2

next bet = 3
you lose your bet
list after a loss = (1,1,2,3)
next bet = 4
net: -5

you win your bet
list = (1,2)
net: -1
50% less than your method of play
but also has the advantage of knowing what the next bet will be = 3

a win and the list is () empty
meaning you have won your starting list of (1,1) or 2 units
-1 + 3 = 2

but test
do not guess

BTW
labouch.bet is available for WinCraps 5.1c for free
seems to work properly in a quick test.

I suggest trying it out
For PRO, you need to convert the 5.1c file (open the .bet file in PRO and make any needed changes)
or just use 5.1c

(to get PRO to work in Win7 machines,
make sure you right-click the wincraps.exe file you download and run as admin
I had to do just that at first crack with win7. my laptop had a fresh install of win7)
