ALERT: Rock Concert at PNC Bank Arts Center on Saturday (Def Leppard)
I want to forewarn all people not from the area... there may be lots of young-middle aged adults walking around pouring sugar on themselves. If you see one, don't approach them or you may get caught in a sticky situation...
Quote: RossHI know alot of you guys come down from the north and NY. I'm Just posting to warn all of you that on Friday a rap concert will be taking place at PNC Bank Arts Center.
Is this them?

Good thing I live out west.
Oh wait, we have Indians.
They don't rap to speak of, in fact they don't seem to listen to any music other than the clang of bells and tones from the slots as they effortlessly scalp the whites.

rapes and shootings at country concerts.. BE CAREFUL
Someone died in a portapotty at a Farm Aid music festival I went to.. does that mean the surrounding area needs to be overly cautious when it comes back to town?
No, you're blowing this out of proportion.

"I got red hair, but I still worship Jesus!"
That was great. Thanks.
It's a Nicki Minaj concert.
Then again, her fans are starting up with the Swifties after Taylor Swift beat her out for an MTV "Video of the Year" nomination...

It's not just rap concerts.
People OD all the time at EDM venues, rock concerts, etc.
Heck, "there is (was) nothing like a Grateful Dead concert;" they had aid stations set up to handle all the anticipated casualties from the chemical wars.
Some guy died at a nearby EDM festival at George.
Death is a part of life.
Party on, Garth.
Quote: harvson3I've been under theimpression that Kenny Chesney concerts bring out the most undesirables.
Only if Reily Cooper shows up.

Without reading more than the OP I'm pretty sure that there'll be some heated differences of opinion coming forth. Hell, I'm sure if read the subsequent posts I'd have some heated differences of opinion too.
Often times when new threads begin with posts that reasonable people would conclude would invite arguments and dissension the OP has not satisfied their urge to convince enough other people to appreciate and express their view. I think it's obvious that I'm voicing an opinion, and not a fact. We can not KNOW the intentions of a person based one post alone, but my understanding of human nature, and of my own failings, leads me to this conclusion.
Other OPs like this one have occured before where racial generalities have been defended and ridiculed.
I am not in any way impugning the integrity of the OP. In fact, I didn't even notice their handle let alone search if this handle had other similar posts about other rap concerts we should be warned about. But other similar threads have gone south pretty quick.
Not that it matters much, this article is about a concert at the Meadowlands, some ~35 miles from PNC.Quote: dave12038457

Yeah, and it was more than one month ago.

And people wonder why I post warnings about Rap Concerts on this and other boards. This right here is why. This and the summer jam incident shows that Jersey state police are not equipped to handle a rap concert. They would rather spend their time writing frivolous tickets to tourists who drive reasonable speeds on the Parkway.
Do you go around posting about trivial to non-existent increases in risk that don't involve black people? Any posts about biker meet ups in the general area of casinos? What about the nutritional value of various buffet items? Which casinos are safest in the event of a comet striking the earth?
Quote: RigondeauxIt doesn't follow that traveling to a casino in the area is significantly more dangerous.

I posted a warning on the NYC TA forum when one Marshall Mathers played at Metlife, and last I checked he is white. I also post on TA warning people no to take NJ Transit because of conductor Rik Hyung Kim who is covered in Korean Gang tats, So no I do not have a problem with black people, however events like rap concerts tend to be more dangerous than other concerts. Case and point, an unsolved shooting and 100 + arrests at a rap concert yesterday.

Ross the New Jersey State Police are some of the best ttrained police officers in the world

In the case, why weren't they in Parking Lot 4? Too far away from the music? They don't seem to have that problem of distance in the Meadowlands. They can't even handle large crowds of high schoolers going to and coming home from what I insist on still calling the Garden State Arts Center.
