You think it was hard getting a room at a CET property and Harrah's in particular....just wait until these conventioneers start streaming in....fuhgeddaboudit.

But...I don't think it's hard to get a weekday comp. And I don't think the conventions are going to carry over into Friday and Saturday night.

The article says it could be very hard to get weekday comps, because there won't be any rooms available. Harrah's has around 2,500 rooms and when you have 2-3K conventioneers, staying overnight there will be no rooms left. This is predicated that the conventioneers aren't NJ locals, if that is the case then this will be another AC flop.

I still think it will be hard to get a Harrah's weekday comp. They are going to keep blocks of rooms for conventioneers. I know some like to reserve rooms way in advance and that might be difficult.
Caesars and Bally's might not be as difficult but if you love to stay at Harrah's you might just have to be a 7*.

On another note about CET, is anyone else having a problem on the Total Rewards site, whereas if you are booking a room, and switch casinos (say from Caesars to Bally's), your room choices vanish. It's been like that for a week or more.
It's really not surprising how this company is in bankruptcy.

There computer online booking system seems to screw up every other day. Certain days they insist I have a reservation at one of there properties on that day. I don't.
Last year they gave a 30% discount for booking online, infact you had to take it it was automatic. The problem was they applied it to there regular rate not there diamond rate...so my $35 room (discounted to 20 something) became $55 after the discount. This went on and off for a long time.
Now I booked my 5 reservation for the summer (they limit me to 5), but they cut the rates on more days so I cancelled on to rebook it for 3 days instead of 1 day....but the computer insist I have a reservation. Call up and its a completely different rate.
AHH...one of the worst run online booking sights.

I haven't had that problem specifically that I recall. But I can say that over the last year or two the Total Rewards online booking went from very easy to use and navigate. To freaking annoying and often just wrong. They say you have an offer you go to book it...it's not there. You log off, and log back on there it is again and this time it works. The other thing that frosts my cookies is in the offer calender. It used to be possible to compare rooms in various markets for about 60 days at a time. So you could pull up all the CET properties in Vegas, starting in say May and see all of May and June and the comps/rates available to you for every day all on one screen. Then book your trip based on availability. Now you can't really do that, you have to keep going back and forth and check every deal, at every property, individually. It sucks. The whole TR program is going down hill. The lack of functionality in the website is just one example.
