Maybe they'll be able to pay their retirees their pensions with the extra money. My brother in law retired from Caesars about 15 years ago. He held a high level management position, he opened Caesars AC before going back to Vegas where he retired. They just stopped paying his pension. He's a lung cancer survivor and around 80 years old and they just stopped paying it blaming their bankruptcy.

I do not think that the CEO and the elites in the boardroom care on bit about the working stiffs. They are there to vote each other raises and bonuses. A 2012 article in Forbes said Loveman was compensated over $26,000,000 for the five year period.

Do you mean they stopped contributing to the pension fund, or are you saying that pensioners are no longer receiving ANY money? I would think stopping pension payments to retirees would be show up on a quick Google.

Yeah, in Vegas I believe Diamond is exempt from resort fees. I have never been Diamond so I can't confirm.

Jerry, I would tell him to check into it further, or contact a lawyer. The CZR bankruptcy has not been finalized, in fact they are still in the process of conniving a venue.

CZR did intentionally miss a debt payment owed to creditors, but there are rules re pension payments, & it would seem unlikely that his pension could be cutoff prior to an actual Bankruptcy decree -authorized by a court.

Yes, exactly right. That would be quite strange, as that isn't a decision that would be up to anyone running Caesars.

They cut him off. No more checks, at least for now.

Casinos are milking and squeezing to bitter end. Sad. I remember happy times visiting local casinos in AC. The atmosphere has changed, AC is definetly off kilter.

If CZR failed to pay the legally required premiums for pension insurance (even paying off at 5 or 10 cents on the nominal dollar sum), that is just one more additional case among the many that show the ineptitude and carelessness of the so-called federal regulators in charge of the program.

Good grief. That's terrible. Does he have any recourse?

Once you hit "reply", there is no going back. Just post a single word like "delete", and if/when we see it, we'll take care of it.

I'll leave the above one stand so as not to make my reply confusing.
