Several years ago Wildwood was a destination resort for many French Canadians. They stood out on the beach by their skimpy bathing suites.

From Press of AC
"Air Canada will launch summer service between Toronto and Atlantic City International Airport, giving the resort direct access to the Canadian market for lucrative international tourists. The new air service will be partly underwritten by a pledge of $705,000 in yearly subsidies from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the state agency that oversees Atlantic City tourism and development projects...Air Canada will start by flying four days per week from Toronto between Memorial Day and Labor Day, but may add flights from Montreal if demand proves strong"

I was gonna take a look at fares.
Although I am a corporate travel agent based in the USA.
I do have Canadian clients I book and ticket in Canada.
Yes I have been trained on the myriad of canadian taxes.
Anyway.
Flights not loaded into the system yet so I have no idea of cost :-(

Official deal is still pending final approval.

They plan to fly a 74 passenger turbo prop- vs the former failed larger aircraft service "The smaller turboprop plane is a better aircraft for a start-up route instead of using a large jet, as WestJet did between Atlantic City and Toronto, Mullins added."

Give you and idea how expensive AIR CANADA is I just did a search Toronto to Philly and back July 2- 6 $840 or so

same exact dates but using DELTA guess how much it was? less than half price at $412 but its not direct its via New York

Context for color. Here's an Orbitz search for those dates from YYZ to PHL:

Note: Any flight to Philly for the 4th of July weekend will be somewhat inflated - Liberty Bell and Independence Hall and all that:-)
