New odds for Mississippi Stud?

Hello all. New member here. If this is discussed somewhere else, I apologize and just tell me where it's at. But I have a question about the odds for a different way Mississippi Stud is dealt: I recently came back from a trip to Vegas and noticed the casinos are dealing four cards to the house FIRST, then three cards to the dealer and then two cards to the player(s). Whether you play the "6-card" bet or not, the dealer always takes the top four cards out and then deals the rest of the cards normally. I know when four players are playing at the table, the four cards taken out is like two other players having their two "hand cards". But when playing at a table of five or six players, taking those four cards out of the deck now is like playing with seven or eight players, all using the dealers three community cards. My question is: are the odds better/the same/or worse when playing at a table with five or six other players? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

trophybucks,

Welcome to the forum. I strongly suggest, if you want an answer, you post it in the forum under Questions and Answers (scroll to the bottom) or under Other Games (midway down) as a new thread, rather than asking for discussion via a blog.

IMO, an unseen card is an unseen card, so those 4 cards coming out of the deck for the 6 card bonus do not detract from the game no matter how many players are in, just like the slug that is not dealt afterwards doesn't matter. However, kudos to the house that pulls the dealer hand before any player hand; I hate dealing procedures where people coming in and out of the game determines the dealer's hand. Personal preference, as they're still unseen cards, but my perception and enjoyment changes when people get up or come in and the dealer gets a great hand they would not have otherwise had.
