Hi,
I am seeing that there is a lot of interest in Six plus hold em at the moment and due to the short deck (36) the hand rankings change. The flush moving above the full house is easy to understand but there is also a move in the 3 of a kind above a straight. (Triton high rollers events)
I have done the math on hand frequency and cannot see why three of kind would move above the straight.
3 of a kind = C(9,1)*C(4,3)*C(8,2)*C(4,1)^2 = 16,128
Straight (ex royal and flushing) = C(6,1)*(((C4,1)^5)-4) = 6,120

what am i missing?

Thanks

Your math is good for 5 of 5 cards, but you need to use the best 5 of 7 cards.

Thanks. Looking at that now and it gets more complicated with the amounts of flushes and straights. Will keep trying.
