Appendix 9 query

Hey Wiz, finally got round to signing up, been a avid reader for years! What am I missing with regards to Blackjack Appendix 9 — Six deck, dealer stands on soft 17, no hole card, why doesn't the probability of both the charts sum 1, I think collectively they both represent all hand combinations? And how would you generating the house edge from these charts, would you multiply each hands probability with the return to player and sum them?

The remaining percentage is when you lose to a dealer blackjack.

Your method to calculate house edge sounds right, but don't forget the dealer blackjack.
