Hi
Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia has offered a version of baccarat known as "2 to 1 Baccarat" for about a year and a half now. The rules are the same as the standard, eight-deck non-commission game with the following exceptions:
* Player/banker bets which win with a non-natural (ie. three-carded) point total of 8 or 9 are paid at odds of 2:1
* Banker bets which win with a point total of 6 are paid even money, not 1:2
* In the event of a tie, all bets placed on player and banker will lose
Can you quantify how bad a game this is compared to more traditional offerings?
Many thanks.

My first analysis, but I might have messed up somewhere. I'll double check later and will repost if I find an error.

I've played this once about 12 months ago and I have to say it's a terrible game. Simply a poor version of bacarrat designed so they can offer low limit tables. I think minimums started from $10 while real bacarrat started from about $50.
