Guys, I know that the hotel doesn't charge you a resort fee on comped rooms. That's not the question. The question is, do you still get the *benefits* of the resort fee on the comped room? In my experience at the Encore, you don't, but that might just be the Encore.

Speaking for the East coast, you do get resort fees on comped rooms although some places tie it into your card level, higher tier gets them waived.

I am Diamond with Caesar’s, and one benefit is that they waive the resort fee on any stay, and you do still get the benefits, such as internet and gym access.

I use Boyd for rooms in Vegas I give them minimal action
and get room offers for three nites every month of the
year never have I paid a fee.

I never get folks who say this, "minimal action"

I am the definition of a minimal action player at most places and I never get room offers from those properties. Including the aforementioned Boyd.

Of course, 'minimal action' is a subjective term.

For the player, the host and sometimes for the casino's computer it seems.

Somehow this thread really strayed from the original question but I'll throw in my two cents about smokes. I don't smoke and I don't care for second hand smoke either but I'll let it slide in the casino if the person next to me lights up since he probably has his mortgage payment on the table.

You let it slide because the casino allows it, or you'll just have to move.

I see your point.

I have a break even proposition at a Boyd property with low
variance. I should have worded it minimal risk or something.
