I have been there but it was like in 2004 so I couldn't comment on the current chef of current menu options. From what I recall, it was kind of like the Signature Room in Chicago, where the main attraction was the view and not necessarily the cuisine. On a trip in 2011, I ate at MiX, which is at the top of what is now the Delano at Mandalay Bay. If you want a great meal with a great view, that is my recommendation. Furthermore, finishing off your bottle of wine or having a drink in the bar after dinner is just sublime there.

Reminds me of the Marriot in NYC Times Square. Food okay, bar good, killer view and the experience. In Vegas I always strive to add stuff we did not do or is different. Also an 'experience', A steak and a seafood dish with a good bottle of wine. The view and some quality time together without the kids if it can be accomplished. Doesn't have to be the food. But if anyone knows anything special there, would help also.

Thumbs up from me. The food is reasonably priced given the quality and you get the view for free.

I didn't the food was anything special but as Wizard said it is not ridiculously priced. When friends and visitors ask me about it I tell them that I would probably just go up for drinks and desert after a dinner elsewhere.

Thanks. I do endorse it. I also don't agree with all these complaints about the food. I'm not saying it is the best meal you'll ever have, but for what you pay, it's fine.

We will do it. I like restaurants that we have not been to. I am tired of all the hype and fanfare and celeb places mid-strip. I detest the food, 'swimming in the unknown sauce' so common. I am sure the view, the first time, and all that will be a huge compliment to the whole thing.

Been there a few times 4th of July and NYE during fireworks shows I thought the food was good but that's not why I went, I went for the view. I have no clue what I had for dinner. I only remember that I did enjoy it.

Went there once for dinner, the food was fine. It amazes me how high it is once you get up there looking down on the very tall buildings all around. Cool perspective day or night.

I am not sure what their blackjack conditions are, but I was not satisfied with the craps payouts on the center bets. They have high house advantages anyway; cutting a dollar from the payouts (30 for 1 instead of 31 for 1) is ridiculous. I mentioned this on the survey they sent after our visit because I think that bad payoffs go totally counter to the idea of their campaign to be different...unless difference means crappy pay tables!

As others have said, the food isn't bad especially for the price. But, the view is the main attraction, especially at sunset, hey hey.

They have three 3:2 BJ tables and the rest are 6:5....yeah they're different alright NOT. What happened to old Vegas? I don't know, but doesn't seem like Stratosphere is trying too hard to bring it back. just marketing BS.

When dinner is done, go to the fire escape stairs and go UP one flight to the roof. Even if you don't go on the rides, it's fun to watch the crazy people who do go on those rides.

I went there in late 2010. Food quite good, view spectacular. Try to get a table on the outside against the window for better view. We had one of the tables in the centre back from the window. Was still a great view but would have been much better right up against the glass.
