What is the house edge in a version of Texas Shootout in which ties push instead of lose, but the player is required to make a Quick Draw sidebet of at least as much as his main bet? Also, how would the splitting strategy change, since more hands would now have positive e.v.?
The Quick Draw sidebet is based on the player's original four cards only, and is paid according to one of the following paytables:
PAYTABLE A
Four-of-a-kind, suited: 100 to 1
RF: 50 to 1
SF: 30 to 1
Four-of-a-kind: 12 to 1
ST: 5 to 1
FL: 4 to 1
Three-of-a-kind: 3 to 1
Two pair: 2 to 1
Any pair: 1 to 1
PAYTABLE B
Four-of-a-kind, suited: 200 to 1
RF: 100 to 1
SF: 50 to 1
Four-of-a-kind: 20 to 1
ST: 5 to 1
FL: 4 to 1
Three-of-a-kind: 3 to 1
Two pair: 2 to 1
Any pair: 1 to 1
