What card game is it possible for a 5 card hand of two different pair with an Ace kicker to beat a Royal Flush? State an example of such a hand and why it wins as well as the game?
This is a trivia question at my work which has us all stumped.

In Cribbage, if after pegging the two players count their hands, a hand of 7,7,8,8 will "beat" a hand of suited 10,J,Q,K if the A has been cut. The first player will have 14 points (15-2,15-4,15-6,15-8,15-10,pair-12,pair14) and the second player will have 10 points (straight-5,flush-10). I don't know if this answers the question but it's all I could think of.

Poker, with deuces wild. One of your pairs is deuces, the other pair is Aces. Two aces, with an Ace kicker, and two wild cards, gives you 5 aces.
Now all you need is a game in which 5 of a kind beats a Royal Flush.

Yeah I tried that but the two different pair cannot include the ace. I am glad I wasn't the only one who tried that theory

2s2cQsQcKsKcAs beats 10d10hJdJhQhKhAh on most house-ways in pai gow poker. Those hands contain the hands QsQcKsKcAs and 10hJhQhKhAh.

Maybe we should try engineering this from the other side: What games are available at your casino?

Texas hold'em, maybe? I have KsJs and raise. You have 10dQd and fold. Flop comes JdKdAd, but I still win?

I like that. I may take a swing at that. The only problem that may ensue is if the player folds pre-flop and does not expose his cards how would you know that they would have made a Royal Flush. As we all know Poker Players are not the most honest.
