That's the thing though. I look for hidden meanings that they are trying to get from some of these questions. But on the other hand, some seem so inane, I don't even know why they're asked.
Oh yeah, pet peeve, "Long" surveys. What'da think, I want to spend more than a minute on this? OTOH, maybe that's all about ability to tolerate boredom or impulse control.
Quote: rxwineI think I've answered maybe two in a decade. I swear I've read questions like, "Do you enjoy winning?" They're probably trying to judge if you're an emotionally triggered gambler I suppose.

Who DOESN'T enjoy winning? 😵💫 I agree that that's a STUPID question. I feel a better question would be something like ,"What Casino games do you enjoy playing? Do you prefer land based casinos or online? Do you prefer slots or table games? What's your favorite Casino?" 🤔💡

I generally see 3 groups of questions, aside from the basic "are you human" stuff ("Do you like winning?" is sort of in that category.) The first group is about a specific recent trip - was it clean, was the food good, how was the hotel, any problems parking - etc. The second group of questions seems to be trying to suss out if I'm the type of player the casino would like to retain and attract. This seems to include demographic information.
The third group of questions seems to be trying to determine what would attract players like me to visit (or not).
Since I'm a helpful respondent, I'll say right now that offering me free tickets to a show 3 days from now doesn't incentivize me. You couldn't sell the tickets (they're overpriced for the market), your hosts couldn't give the tickets to your premium players, and now you'd like me to show up on short notice? I'll remind you of the old "no after Wednesday" rule, I've already got plans.
I get a lot of casino surveys, but most are from the properties I visit quite infrequently.
So I said I had 900 entries into this drawing from the electronic kiosk, how many entries are usually in this drawing. The answer was 500,000 to 3 million. So no chance.
The 5 people selected each spin a wheel that has 15 slots for a $500 Free Play and one slot for a $10,000 cash prize. They all gave it a spin, no one won. So they added another placard onto the wheel for $10,000, just opposite of the one already on it. They all spin again. I don't think they are getting paid a second round of $500 Free Plays, but I didn't ask. Nobody won the $10K in round 2. So they added on a 3rd $10K placard halfway between the two. And it might have been the 3rd or 4th spinner who won the $10K that time and that was the last spin of the night.
But my question was how many entries were there to get your name drawn, and even if everybody put in 1,000 entries, that'd be 2 million entries. I'm sure most people there had way more than 1,000 entries so something doesn't quite add up. Maybe they didn't register at the kiosk within an hour of the spin with all their entries. Who knows? But the drawing was 15 minutes late because the computers were still counting up all the entries.
I heard this on the satellite radio a couple weeks before on my way to the casino. I had no idea what it was about, but this spinning wheel at the casino has some extremely flashy lights and I really like it.

This is why Baskin-Robbins sells so many flavors. I LOVE last-minute show tickets. I belong to both Seatfilla and House Seats. When I lived in Vegas I used them about twice a week. Offerings in Tucson are less frequent, and the Phoenix offerings rarely justify a four-hour round trip.

That's part of the problem - I'm out of town, even when I'm in town. The casinos that are particularly problematic are a 6 hour or 8 hour round trip from home. I'll stop by if I'm on my way somewhere else, but they're just not my main destination.
If they REALLY wanted me, they'd toss in an F&B or hotel offer as a sweetener, and possibly go so far as having a host call rather than simply emailing a form letter saying they couldn't sell all their tickets and listing a phone number to call if I'm interested.
One of the more destination-based locations I frequent sends out pre-surveys. And somewhat amusingly, one of the questions is how much do you intend to buy in for, and the highest value is 500+.
