At Hollywood Casino in Pennsylvania, they have a ridiculous payout system for the bonus bet in Three-Card Poker. It is
35-1 (Straight Flush)
25-1 (Three of a kind)
5-1 (Straight)
3-1 (Flush)
1-1 (Pair)
I stay away from it personally, but can anyone tell me with the reduction in payouts, what is the house edge and your element of risk?

The house edge (which is the same as the element of risk for this bet) is 12.57%. The standard deviation is 2.52.

I used the QAD 2 decimal approximations given on WOO for the various payout probabilities, rather than the hard hand counts, so I'm sure I'm only good to 2 sig figs ...Quote: mipletThis munchkin gets 12.796380090498 % and 2.50778081820836 (might be wrong on sd. It's past my be time)
