Hello,
We have some weird kind of Caribbean Stud poker here. You have to make an ante wager (minimum 5€) plus an optional additional sidebet of 0.50€. You can draw a card for the additional cost of the ante bet.
The payoff is the same as usual:
U.S. Raise Pay Table
Hand Pays
Royal flush 100 to 1
Straight flush 50 to 1
Four of a kind 20 to 1
Full house 7 to 1
Flush 5 to 1
Straight 4 to 1
Three of a kind 3 to 1
Two pair 2 to 1
All other 1 to 1
Jackpot payoff:
Hand On Hand 1. Card drawn
Royal flush 3000 to 1 1500 to 1
Straight flush 1500 to 1 750 to 1
Four of a kind 500 to 1 250 to 1
Full house 150 to 1 75 to 1
Flush 100 to 1 50 to 1
I made also my own calculations and figgured out that (with the jackpot sidebet):
- Always draw to the straight with a OESD
- Always draw to the flush with a Four to a Flush even if you have a pair <10
- Always draw to the straight with a gutshot draw and the lowest card is an 8
- Always draw to FH with TP
- Always draw to FH/4oaK with 3oaK
The players edge should be around ~1% if I'm correct.
I wonder if i missed some kind of draws or if I have some flaws in my calculations?
And I wonder if it's also possible to get a edge as a player without the sidepot jackpot wager?
I hope you can help me.
Thank you very much

I have already asked something about this variety of game without success, so that I will try again.
Mr. Wizard, I know a casino where you do not need to make a side bet to change cards. You must, however, raise the ante bet normally and then pay another ante as a fee for a card exchange.
Considering this and the fact that you can share information with the full table, what would this represent?

That sounds exactly like Oasis Poker. See the wizard's link.

I am everyday more convinced that my English is poor.
I know that this game is very similar to oasis poker. What I want to know is the effect on the edge if you can share information with other players...
