Just a quick kudos to the Wiz for his influence outside of the gambling community. Just curious if NBC Cleveland consulted him before using his website as a reference or simply found it by googling it. As one might expect, the article is terribly written, with misleading infomation everywhere, so I wonder if notoriety to the Wiz from such poorly written articles excite or frustrate him. On the one hand, if the goal is to educate the uneducated in terms of gambling, then this pointing to WoO is a good thing. On the other hand, to be affiliated with such a poorly written piece has to sting a bit.
Anyhow, if anyone wants a good facepalm for the day, here's the link to the article. As always, thanks for your contributions to all of us.

I'll take any plug I can get in the mainstream media. No, the author didn't write to me, but he didn't have to since he didn't quote me. There is no etiquette that you have to ask before linking to a site.
By the way, I didn't think that article was that bad. Extremely simplified, and I didn't care for roulette being mentioned as the third best game, but I've seen much worse.

Bean said your next stop should be the Roulette wheel. It's simple, and pays fairly well.
"So you bet on your favorite numbers," Bean said. "The dealer spins, and if your number comes in you win."
What an idiot..

Maybe I'm a bit too harsh on the writing, but I'd agree with the all press is good press mentality. Anyhow, congrats on the mainstream link.

"Or, if you feel lucky, play just one number. It's hard to win, but if you do it pays out 36 to 1."
How generous of Caesar's. Next time I hit a number straight up I am going to try to make them pay me this.
On blackjack: "You are somewhere between 44 percent to 48 percent in every single hand of winning," he said, noting that no other casino game gives you odds that good.
Except for baccarat, craps, roulette, and pai gow, both poker and tiles. (In terms of winning a single hand, disregarding the ability to increase your bet like you can in BJ).
Also, I somehow think my 10, 10 against dealer 7 is a bit more than 48 percent to win the hand.
